I got a ton of groceries. :) Also always throwing the dog in there.

Pretty decent gas mileage from Fort Smith, Arkansas to Flora, Mississippi. :)

By "...for a while..." I am guessing for the next 10 years or so.

I have been researching suspension/lift set-ups for the past few days. I had initially thought I was going to buy a 2" OME lift from SLEE (proven and trusted), but after doing a lot of thinking, and realizing that 99.5% of my driving will be on Jackson roads and highways, I do not think that the OME will suit my needs, as it will be very stiff. This all came at a very good time, as I was about to pull the trigger on a lift kit.

Instead, I am now thinking that the 2.5" Radflo coilovers in the front mixed with Radflo shocks and OME medium springs in the rear will be my best bet. I should be able to retain my OEM upper control arms for now, though eventually replacing them with the Total Chaos arms would give me a bit more downward travel. In total, this should provide approximately 3" of lift in the front and rear. Unfortunately, this setup cost twice as much as the OME, so I will have to wait a while before I can lay down an extra grand. :(

Here is a picture of the set-up I swiped from another thread.

The radfail doesn't hold up well on 100 series so I would make sure not a better option before that cash.

Fox? TJM? Ironman?

I would call Cristo and tell him how you want it to drive and let him suggest something.

Nothing will ride as good as stock. OME is usually 100x smoother on a cruiser but that is generally when going from a worn out set of springs and shocks. Likely your setup is still feeling like stock.

When you lift it any way it is going to change your ride. Tires alone will.

No way I would do that TC over OME. OME will end up riding closest to stock.

You can likely put the same size tire on your Cruiser without a lift than with one.

That is where I would start.

Everyone who has the radflos on the 200 are extremely pleased with them. The OMEs are great, but everyone says that they do NOT drive like stock, and they are too stiff for everyday use. I can't comment on the 100s; just what I have been reading on 200s. YMMV. For what it's worth, the stock suspension needs improvement; I find that since already putting 2000 miles on it since I got it, I can say that driving on the Jackson roads are great, but at highway speeds, the ride is too soft. There's a little wheel hop, and bouncing at highway speeds. Adjustable coil overs seem like a necessity, especially because of the kind of driving I normally do. Again, I am commenting on the 200, not the 100.

Amanda's 200 definitely does not bounce or have wheel hop. I wonder if your shocks are shot?

No, they are not shot, just too soft. Reading through the 200 forums confirms my suspicions too. But hey, even if they are shot, it gives me perfect excuse to upgrade. :)

Here are three threads on suspension setups on the first page alone. They refer to the "softness" of the 200. I have seen more, but this gives you the idea.

You will also see that the Radflos really stand out in the threads.

Well sure, but the same goes for the guys spending money on any after market suspension kit.

I don't have anything against OME, and I had originally planned on buying a kit from Slee, but it looks like spending more money can get you a lot more performance, especially on-road, where it really matters (to me at least). I am not biased one way or another; just trying to get the best performance I can for the amount of money I want to spend. There are exceptions to every rule, but I have seen very little (if any) negative reviews of the Radflos in a 200, and have seen more than a few negative comments on OME 200 suspensions being too stiff for on-road every-day use.

Hang on to your pants; weathertechs have been ordered.
