Not sure if I've posted yet, but I'm in! Me and tank will be there frids night and will stay to cook 87 lbs of bacon! I'll obviously be at the work day.

:clap: We're doing something new this year for M&G 2015... We're gonna have a raffle for a YETI Roadie 20 cooler (thanks, YETI)!:clap:

Here are the rules:

- 4 tickets per person max
- $5 per ticket - cash only, please
- Tickets sold only at the event (Friday and Saturday)
- Need not be present at the drawing to win but it's up to the winner to arrange shipping (MUDship or otherwise)
-----yes, this technically allows for somebody else to buy your tickets if you can't make it for some reason
- Drawing held Saturday evening
- You must be a current, paid ONSC member in good standing by the time of the drawing to claim the prize. We will be checking. Yes, that means you don't have to be a member to buy tickets but you can't win unless you are a member - you'd just be giving us money.

How awesome is that? You might take home a $250 cooler for as little as FIVE DOLLARS! So please make sure you are current on our membership rolls. I'm attaching the link to do that and the link to purchase/renew your membership. Don't forget that you students have the option of a student membership. Please renew before the M&G.

http://goo.gl/DKvgq - check your membership status here. FYI - Lots of you expire in March.

http://onsc4x4.com/membership/ - purchase or renew your membership here.

EDIT: Info put in first post!!
EDIT: See John V to purchase tickets

Ain't that the truth.

I'm 50/50. Have a full plate this month but really want to come. If I do come that means Erics 80 will break again. Eric do you want me to come?

Working on getting the membership list updated but I am out of town for a few more days. I got one email about an incorrect listing, so let me know if you don't think you are correct and I'll double check it. Thanks!!

I'm sure I will end up making my classic cookie brownie, and what ever other dish that needs to be brought! any suggestions?

Is there anyone going from RDU to the barn Friday night? We have an urgent transportation need.

I'm still a question mark for this one, but if I'm in, taking 74 or 40 is really no different for me so I could swing by....
I'll post sa soon as I have things firmed up.

OK, Looks like I'm pretty firm for this now with my other twin in tow.

So John, would you like to ride up in speed comfort (4Runner), or should I jam out a knuckle job this weekend so we can ride loud, slow, bumpy, and on the wrong side of the vehicle with no gauges, spotty electrics and less than 100% chance of making it all the way (BJ-44)?

The transportation need is for a pig cooker if that's OK, and will only work out if you're planning on heading up sometime on Friday. Which truck has a ball mount hitch?

All things equal, I'd much prefer you to come up in the BJ44 so I can properly drool on it :D

I was planning Friday. What time would you want to get on the road?
Hitch is pulled off the old Runner, New runner has a receiver, but no ball or ball mount (lost my old one during a move)
44 has a ball with mount welded to the bumper and...... 24V electrics.

The root of the problem is that the pig cooker is at my house and we're cooking a pig starting at 6 or 7am on Saturday, but I'm not able to make it up till Saturday mid morning.

I have a drop ball hitch you can use (need to double-check the ball is the right size), or you can use the hitch on the 44. The pig cooker doesn't have any lights, or a plate, because it's so (relatively) small.

Long story short, cooker needs to get there Friday, but I can't make it till Saturday. I can be available anytime Friday if you are swinging through, or near, Durham on your way from Wilmington to the barn to give you the cooker

Ah I see.
Does NC exempt trailers below a certain size?
My preference is also to see about getting the 44 out so if lights and plate aren't required then I need to get greasy with those knuckles this weekend

I don't believe you need trailer lights if the tow vehicle lights can be seen despite the trailer.
At least that's what I always went on for years and never had an issue. I had an old 8ft utility trailer with no lights (reflectors only.)
Don't hold me to it....

We did an extensive amount of research when we bought the pig cooker to see if we needed to have it registered. "Do not haul anything" trailers like RTI ramps, cement mixers and pig cookers (without a pig inside) don't need to be registered or have a plate as far as we are aware. A number of us have towed this trailer, have been all over the state and never had an issue. You just need to be able to see the vehicle's brake lights while towing.

That's certainly easier than the way its done in The People's Republic of Vermont.
