Marlin Crawler Low Range Gears Group Buy

I have 35s so I'm 11% over stock ratio and this will drop it a little below stock 4low ratio. I enjoy the rubber over drive on the highway and this will expand the dual purpose capability of my rig because at slow speed obsticals it is a little harder to control.

Best of both world....for me at least. Plus I don't hardcore rock crawling, I just want to get over certain obsticals with more control.

I would be pretty interested at 600 for a set. When are you looking at a purchase date by?

VETTE60 x1 is in for this deal!

only for Marlin though, no trail mart for me. Marlin is a stand-up guy and has been copied way too many times.

in for one Marlin low range gear set

so heres the dealio, from the Nitro gear group buy- i factored in about a 10-15% list loss ( people backing out for one reason or another). It ended up being fairly accurate..........so my plan was to shoot for maybe 35 total.

That way i could go to Marlin with the list of 35-36 and offer up the aforementioned info to add to the list credibility.

Also- i would assume Marlin doesnt /wouldnt have 30+ on the shelf..........so he would be taking a leap of faith getting that many produced. I would imagine he may want some sort of deposit to make the initial order of 30-35 ( seems very reasonable).

Hopefully he would simply give us expected "lead time" - take a deposit from everyone interested- and make order and fill it as they come in.

Im personally happy to be the last in line( as im not in a rush) so others can get theirs sooner if his gears dont come all at once or in a few waves of fullfillment. To keep Marlin happy- id also hope we have a few others who arent pressed to have them asap to maybe offer to be on the latter part of fullfillment if needed. pls shoot me a p.m. if you are not pressed for time just in case his shipments trickle in.

Im sure some people are in a time crunch while others are not- so if we can get a short-list of people "not in a rush" that will add to Marlins confidence that we have our s*** together. (p.m. me vs posting up if u can be on the "not in a rush" crew. *we only need 6-7 likely*

The more seamless this group buy is - the more likely a guy like Marlin is to view development of future 80 products as worth his while. i would shoot to press Marlin for as accurate a fullfillment and lead times as possible so he doesnt get too much "wheres my order" drama.

I can wait if needed. My truck is about to have a rebuild and sc installed so I'll be having fun with that while iwait. Thanks for your efforts

Gosh Darn it.

This makes such good sense with my plan to upgrade to RCV chromo axles/birfs and part time kit. Count me in please!

Since my LC is not my daily driver, depending on the wait I could be one of the "not in a rush" group. Are we talking weeks or months out? Is this price finalized?

Nothing is finalized. i think we should let it run thru wed. and then i will send Marlin a note/ expressing the group buy interest @ $600. x 35+ppl.

We are simply expressing a great deal of interest/ 35+ ppl at this pricepoint. A price close to a sale price he has already done in the past.

He may say - no way
He may say- yes @$600 (25%off)
He may say - yes @ $640 (20% off- a sale price he has done in the past)

we go from there.

If all goes well- we should have an answer by friday. And some sort of timeframe/ lead time which i would imagine be a combination of:
- whats currently on Marlins shelves/ backstock ( for immediate order/ship)
- whats orderable and how fast/ quantity. ( so there is a clear timeframe for everyone- if say his gearmaker can only do batches of 15 a week for example.

So - just to be clear- the group buy will be wrapping up on wed. ( in 2 days) at which point i will reach out to Marlin.

We should have an answer by thurs or friday along with a timeframe/plan of action for everyone.

This is going to hit 40 by tomorrow! @bugsnbikes nice job coordinating this to this point.
