Sorry I've been off the grid for the last three days I had a friend in town from Texas but I'm back on it now all the brackets are packed and ship out tomorrow

got the tracking number!

btw, anyone have a tip on how to pull the trim under the headlights? I'd hate to snap it in half again :slap:

There's nothing in the repair manual that clearly explains the removal but I do know you have to remove the Upper Retainer first and than you can remove the Bumper Filler but what you don't see are the two clips that hold the bottom of the bumper filler. It required a clip removal tool and we had to get it right on the clip and they popped off

Any pics of light output on the quad set up?

Not yet... but I did fire up the D2S's tonight and they look great. I tested both the Mini H1 and the D2S's with 35 watt ballast. I plan on running 55 W ballast and will also play around with a few different bulbs.
The only reason I'm even considering a quad set up is I have these Mini H1 sitting on the shelf
For all those who purchased the brackets I really appreciate the contribution and for all those considering whether they should do this or not I can honestly tell you the run is probably one and done because I have to cut at least 100 to keep the price down so if you're even considering improving your lights based on what you see here.. let me know I have about 30 pairs left.

Here's a few shots of the D2S Low Beam output

Just ordered 5 sets of these. Thanks for the warning that this was a one and done.

Ryan, I'll get these out to you shortly 5 pairs of Mini H1's right?

For this low beam output

How does the D2S compare to the Mini H1? Trying to decide if it's worth the trouble of cutting the shroud. Also did you find a good looking Halo for D2S (is that what the part that covers the dremeled shroud is called)?

Maybe there was some confusion on my part. I wanted 3 sets for the D2S 4.0's and then 2 sets for the Mini H1's... I thought they all shared the same brackets?

Give me a call .. there are two brackets I have not released the D2S yet

Apologies if this has already been clarified - but does this bracket also work for the high beam bulbs? As in, we would need to buy two (2) sets in order to replace low beam and high beam?

Thanks

The D2S is a little better just looking at the pictures.. driving behind both the difference is minimal. At this time I've given up the idea of a halo for the D2S as the dremel cut shrouds pass the 2 foot inspection test
The Mini H1's are such a huge improvement over the OEM lights I think you'll be very satisfied with the output and the simple install

One pair is all that's needed. The projector you're installing is a high and low beam and you simply attach a splitter from the OEM highbeam connector to the highbeam side of the projector so when you flip on your highbeams your halogen highbeam will come on and the highbeam in the projector will also come on.

The brackets are only for the low beam bulb, which is already a projector-style setup. The high beam bulb is a traditional bulb and reflector setup and would require a traditional retrofit. I think the process is covered midway through this thread.

Got my mini H1 brackets today - well packaged! Headlights are out of the LX and plan on baking tomorrow - installing the wiring first.

Amy tips for removing the current projector? Do I need to bend a 10mm open end wrench?
