Hi Uted! Check my sig line and you will see I am probably following in your footsteps a bit with my cruiser purchases.:doh: (Troopy is still in one piece BTW!) ;)

I'll get a thread or two started on the "V wagon" sooner or later. Right now I am at a standstill with my projects. Trying to sort out a house move right now which is not exactly going to plan :bang:. It was really bad timing to buy the 45V but I had to bite the bullet because they don't exactly come up for sale very often as I'm sure you well know!. Needless to say I probably paid a bit over the odds considering the shape it is in, (RUSTY! Your FJ40 project springs to mind). The 45V is my ultimate cruiser too so it was too big a carrot not to take the plunge. My shed now has one too many trucks in it so I can't move let alone tear apart another vehicle - hopefully the new place happens....and more shed space!!!!

Please don't reply to this message guys - I don't want to clutter up this sticky thread too much. Give me a day or two and I'll start another one about it. I don't have many good pics because it arrived in the dark and then started raining the next day so she got pushed into the shed pretty quick.


GUMBY: Do you have any way of telling how many Australian FJ45Vs you have on this list? 3 spring to my mind and I think I remember a thread about someone Stateside having imported one from OZ too.

VIN plate is confusing, but as Toyota just sent a rolling chassis to GIFU I dont think they went in any order when making the bodies, they just grabbed the next one in line, stamped motor # to plate. Notice the VIN is 4-FJ40, not FJ45. Too much Saki maybe? the frame however matches the plate but it says 4-FJ4515107

Firewall tag is MIA.
Tailgate has no holes for the emblem, so I am assuming it had the big sticker across the bottom. Not sure what year that changed though.
