I'm excited about my last mod.... I had a local body shop fill in my fender flare holes. I think it turned out great! They body guy dimpled the holes, then used a short fiber reinforced epoxy putty. Because this putty is sandable, there is no body filler and non of the stock rust prevention on the back side is effected. The body shop guy believes that this approach is even better than welding, from a rust perspective.

Here's what the holes looked like before:

Here are the after shots:

What's the story with the yellow Jeep with the Toyota emblem on the grille?

Ha, good eye! We had a Toyota only run recently and needed another trail leader. So that guy volunteered to lead and even put on a badge! Apparently, he liked being a Toyota so much that he left it on, ha.

Got a few more pictures that other guys took:

I have never been a fan of the green color option. However, yours looks to be a very clean example, would definitely drive that one.

Wow, thank you sir. As the owner of a green cruiser, that's probably the best compliment I could get!

Here are a couple of pictures that Rich Costa ( @RDC76 ) sent me of the completed wings of my bumper. Build quality looks amazing... hoping to have the finished product mounted on my rig soon!

Here's a sign that I've accepted it's winter. The Evo went back into the shipping container and the Cruiser got a spot in the garage. I'll put the Jeep in the container once I give it a dose of fuel stabilizer and top off the tires.

Went to Rich Costa's Shop ( @RDC76 ) last night to finish and pick up my new bumper!

Here's a picture I took before we put the light pockets in... test fitting

Rich's craftsmanship is second to none. Simply insane.

Thanks Jeff. I can't wait for you to see it too.

Uploaded more pics!

After test fit, we (Rich really) worked on making the light pockets. He put in over 6 hours on those two pockets alone. I am constantly impressed with his eye for detail and his refusal to compromise quality.

He cut with plasma cutter, then used rectangular tube to make the pocket. After that, he had to cut and stretch the pocket because my D2 lights are bigger than the average pod style light. He tig welded and blended the pocket then tig welded the completed pocket to the bumper.

After that, he ground the welds flush

Then he scuffed for a uniform surface finish. After than he hand filed with a diamond file to get just the right "sharpness" on the edges... clean but won't cut you.

Then he welded on the light tabs inside the pocket... fitment is good!

Then he reinforced the back side with two plates per side. Of course, he cut some anvils into the plates... and he positioned them so you can see them through the light holes.

Tucked the AC dryer and we were done!

Here's the last set of pictures, I promise.

Overall look on the the vehicle:

As you can probably tell, I'm excited by the end result. The build quality is worth every penny, in my humble opinion.

Freakin incredible. Thank you for all the detailed photos.

You're welcome! I was just so shocked by all the cool details that I hadn't seen in pictures that I figured that it was worth sharing. Check out the bottle opener! The angle is perfect.

Just picked the Cruiser up from "The Rust Stop" in Concord. I got the Rustoration treatment done. The process wire brushes or sand blasts and formed rust, followed by a rust inhibitor. Then NH Oil Coat (like fluid film) is applied. Comes with a lifetime touchup warranty, if any rust shows up. Hopefully this will be good rust insurance out here in New England.

Here's what the coat looks like, for those who are curious:

Long story short, I'm hoping not to have to work on my truck till spring! (when I can wash the oil coating off)

Bumper looks fantastic mate.
The light recess proportions take away from the overall look a bit, I think longer thinner driving lights would have worked better
