Make sure when looking at the control stalks and check if they’re open or close circuit switch’s. I’m planning on just using some toggles and having some beauty plates cut and laser etched to match the factory print so they look the part. Probably mount them on my tuffy console.

Thank you everyone! Great and helpful input!

I used a stock toyota column cruise control switch. Rostra also sells a kit with a clone toyota column switch i believe. Rostra also has a little panel switch that is universal that you can mount to the dash or center console. Im sure you could use a stock looking pull switch but you need a momentary function possibly available like in a wiper switch.

Agreed.

I've been reading and researching this. Ultimately I think I'll just have my guy get it done and running for now, and add the cruise control later. Although, it will be much more difficult later because of the Vintage Air and everything being behind the dash by then.

But, I'm thinking I'll do it like the old school hot rodders (since I was part of that world 30 years ago with my '34 Coupe). Use either the OEM choke pull, have it set where it is close to all the way pushed in but actually out about 1/8th to 1/16th of an inch, and then run the cable to 2 spring loaded micro switches. 1 you pull out on to set the cruise or coast, or push in that little bit (1/8th to 1/16th) to resume or accelerate. Or, like you said, use a wiper switch that has an ON and 2 positions like low & high. That would work perfectly too, and probably be easier than the choke pull.

Just curious.....

For all you guys running a 5.3 LS with a 4L60E transmission with the factory 4:11 gears in the diffs, what kind of gas mileage are you getting?

Gas mileage with the hardtop & doors on?

Gas mileage with the top & doors off?

Thanks

With top and doors on, 16.5 to a best of 18. Not sure with the top off yet.
