Awesome build and looking forward to seeing the next steps! When you have time I did have a few questions...

Did you look at any aftermarket AHC shocks for extra capacity and or travel (Nestle Toyota has remote resi AHC' shocks, not sure about travel numbers) feeling that changes in mounts to allow extra droop + air bumps = good for now?
Heading out back, did someone finally come up with a full float rear end solution that allows you to retain ABS on a post 80/105 series, or, ditching the ABS?

Thanks again for the inspiration and keep the good content (and good news on options) coming!

I haven't researched the full floater much.... I'm not particularly attached to the abs and will choose ff over that any day.... my thought is if I'm chopping off the axle tube to extend it I minus well have a ff

Sub'd for the awesome build!
OP, all test videos need to be posted on here or it didn't happen :)

I dida speed run it down a rough trail before I hooked up the sways.... didn't think to bring go pro till I was there. Next time I discount sways ill video it!. Will definitely be posting video of dyno when blower and headers go on!!!

Dude.

Epic.

how does the LX do in the sand? You air down? Sweet ride.

Impressive build. When I saw your pictures you posted before your detailed thread I thought you were running some silly offset wheels and spacers.

This is a whole other level.

I appreciate your candor! I'll be honest it does look a lil silly rite now. Color match flares and bumpers go on end of June. Itll definitely look more natural. But it does corner like a supra!!! I do want to get off those rear spacers by years end.

First run on beach I ran 30 psi and it was not very smooth.... and engine was working hard.... second run i went to 20 psi and it just floated with zero struggle.

Yeah, i get lazy and dont air down. You can do it, but your engine is working overtime. My scan gauge was saying I was getting 2 MPG. I want to try and bury mine and then use crawl control to get me unstuck.

The drive is so much more pleasurable at 20psi. Definitely will be doing on board air with connections on both bumpers

Always! Right now I'm good... but I want to sit another 2 inches higher.... I have a 1 in diff drop to install when I have time.... but seriously considering the 1.5 in from aus because I have massive droop....

Non the less when the rcv's come in I think they'll handle about anything I can throw at it.
Angle at full droop was more my concern. There seems to be evidence emerging of tire contact at full droop being when the CV goes pop..

Don't plan on jumping it or using full droop....but...whats point of having it if you can't use it... thus why I mentioned the rcv's.... the diff drop... and the carrying of a spare cv.... I'm told "its price you pay rolling woth the big dogs"

I have never been a fan of heavy rigs, large diameter tires, and a lot of torque on semi-float axles so I get it. But have gotten complacent and do like having ABS as a backup for something I am going to drive to the trail.

On the Nestle Toyota shocks, if they sound interesting and you reach out, let me know if you get a response! And I'm happy to ping them again as well to see if a few people expressing interest would generate a faster response on specs and pricing.

After you mentioned those I researched on mud and found this thread. I reached out to @Mago he's supposed to send measurements when he's back around them. Post in thread 'Upgraded AHC suspension..' Your in Va too? I'm down south near the nc border.... but would love to do some meets up in that DC area. Any thing going on in the future?
We're pretty active check out our club page along with the NC club as there's occasionally trail rides posted there.

If your rig is ready sign up for relic run. June 3-6 at Uwharrie, I'll be there wheeling my 200 so will @jrmudder92

Suspension is fully functional.... but the car is just not ready for Uwharrie....my front clip hangs way too low.... dissent bumpers arrive end of june.... I'm definitely wanting to get involved with those groups. Thanks for the Intel...look forward to wheeling with you!!!

First time I wheeled Uwharrie I was bone stock on street tires and had fun. Didn't do the hardest trails but definitely tested the 200 out.

Pretty sure you'll be fine with the amount you've got done. Plus, if you're replacing it who cares if you damage it right? Haha

This is insane and making wish i still jad my 570.

I will add some points here, i actually looked into the armoured 570 shocks and springs. The shocks are stock length and valved really heavy to cope with a lot of weight, they are a passive shock that removes the ahc function.

Rather then relocation spacers and strut spacers, since your not cheaping out on this build why dont you take a front and rear ahc shock to a local hydraulic shop and ask them to build a set to the length you require?

Would the larger hydraulic volume of custom shocks change anything the AHC system electronics would see? I love that idea. Sounds expensive to the point a standard high-end shock may be a better route, but I enjoy the ability to raise and lower my truck for now.

I think you would just have to extend/adjust the hieght sensors appropriately and add some extra fluid. If you were doing this to a 200 ye high end 2.5 shocks would be the go but on an lx id be aiming to keep the ahc functioning.

I purchased and cut open a rear ahc shock when i had my 570 and they litterally just a monotube with a thick hollow shaft and ahc specific valving, wouldnt be hard to build single entry hydraulic rams, re use the pistons and have a shock shop copy the valving.
