That truck is SICK! I dig seeing the PDI logo. Maybe leave it as is?

Sean, you'll be able to see it (faintly) through the mesh just like our 80's.

Tucker, that’s not a gap, that’s a canyon.

But at least it’s completely reversible… Four bolts and it’s off.

I could adapt the stock 79 bumper onto the 80 frame if this is too crazy.

Some aluminum mesh arrived. It might look ok. Perhaps too thin/too visually transparent?

Weird. Yours are JUST running lights? Are they hazard flashers? Mine function as turn signals and hazard flashers.

Finally, mirrors. I had to go top shelf and break out my big old #1 Toyota JIS screwdriver (normally saved for ceremonial occasions only) to get the loctited mirror screws to tighten down.View attachment 4174642View attachment 4174643View attachment 4174644View attachment 4174645
The fitment of a #1 JIS screwdriver in those mirror screws is a very satisfying feeeling :D

@cruiserdan I whack f@&ked it against the frame when I was installing the power steering pump a couple weeks ago. Now I just have to sit here and stare at it for months just like you do.
I have a pinky that I donated the nail to unloading Roma's FJ-40 frame to get it powder coated- my own stupidity. Looks lovely, but getting there.

@samc2447 I ordered a slightly different one from that website!

@dogfishlake they were SO HARD to tighten due to the blue loctite. It skeered me. Also, I'll be in Michigan next week - I need to stop by!

This cab has been been banging around since 2009. At some point the tool attachments at the back left of the cab got ripped off and it had a little weep holes. Rather than weld them up, I found some body plugs that were a perfect fit. I’ll order two more just to complete the constellation.
