My 96 LX450 some previous owner drilled about a dozen tiny holes in the grill emblem and installed tiny little led lights. I have not fired them up but it was a lot of effort, I am sure it is pump!

I pulled the truck out to see if the new grill looked good. I think it looks freaking awesome.
I also have been having a battery draw issue… I think I just found it. Brake switch needs to be adjusted a little bit.
Time to make some decisions on suspension… If anybody out there has suggestions on good combinations I’m all ears. Planning to run 33s.

GMan what size tires are on it now? I have front 2.5” Iron Man’s in the garage that you can toss on for a look see. I have Dobs VT’s on the 80 now and they are great in terms of ride and wheel travel, several spring sizes available from them. I’ve got there IMS shocks and they have been great
IMO you can’t go wrong with a Dobinson suspension.
You truck is much lighter then a 80 so go with the lightest spring rate and a minimal lift as you going to get way more lift then advertised.

This^^. Our Aussie colleagues love to overspring these trucks. One of my Aussie friends call themselves Overloaders vs Overlanders, haha.

Re: Dobinsons, they were trash on my 40. Absolute junk and I wasn’t the only one. I have them on the 62 and they’re fine (running their standard yellow shocks).
I just wrapped up fine tuning springs on my 40 by using a Medium duty set curtesy of Kelly on the rears and a set of Heavy duty on the front curtesy of @OlYellr Bryan. OME both.
I ended up taking two leafs out of each pack and the ride is not w absolutely perfect. Took some doing but I’m there.

Dobs coils are super, l know you had a crappy leaf experience
