Let's swap a motor and do some other stuff to a 60....

Oil pan went on today....alternator too. We're waiting for our injection pump to get back so we can put it in, get the timing belt on and finish up that area. Might need to do that in the truck as I want this motor in 60 this week.

There's a 1HZ-T here, an 1HDFT in the background, a 1HDFTE to the side of it and a 1HDT outside....all the diesels!

Ran a small batch of misc. engine compartment hardware.....we've come this far with the engine compartment, might as well make it as nice as possible.

Blasted and sprayed all this stuff for the cowl too.

I really wish I had a space for a blasting and spray booth setup. The plating is the icing on the cake. Great job there!

Pretty sure it's a Tuffy....was in the truck when I got it. It's great.....I love it.

The arm rest now is way better :)

I don't have much to add to this very, very nice build.....but thats not a Tuffy center console. Maybe a smittybuilt?

Tuffys have a rectangle shaped cup holder.

Makes things easier with blasting, that's for sure. The plating is probably excessive but oddly enjoyable :)

Could be....there are no markings on it that I can see. I need to put one in a customer's 60 so I'd better start looking around for one :)

The cupholders are a dead giveaway....

vs. tuffy (which also has a more vinyl feeling arm rest and offset key location)

Look at that.....nice. Tough to beat the Smittybilt for under $100. It's a really nice console.

I really like the Smitty too...unfortunately wont fit unde the Scheel-Mann armrests i dnt think :bang::bang::bang::bang::(
Scheelmanns in a 60......now we're talking :)

I would take the Scheelmanns way before the console :) Wonder if you could chop the top of the console down a few inches and ditch the armrest. Would be nice to have some lockable storage.

well..im def not ditching the $160 arm rests lololololol. JUst snagged an OEM console + some SEM graphite paint. Hope it clears up nicely as others have.

The armrests on the Scheelmanns are so good. We sell a lot of those to RV guys( I also run them in my 70 series trucks).....we run outside armrests as well as the inside ones for the RV-ers. Let me tell you something, with 2 armrests on a Scheelmann....it's the best seat ever. I can drive that truck for hours and hours and hours with zero fatigue.

So like most things I do, I took these rear cargo panels a little further than I should have. Wish I would have just done aluminum :)

They're cool though and exactly what I was after. Horribly impractical for a "cargo" area but I think this trucks days of hauling real cargo are over.

I have some plastic OEM looking rectangular covers that I'll put on the panels to cover up the speakers.....need to work on that. And the magnets to attach them.

i REALLLLY wanted dbl arm rests...but apparently cant fit 2 in a 60 :(

Maybe I missed it, but did you install 3 point rear belts?
My truck had them already.....they appear to be factory. Not sure what's going on with that.
