ok, here are some additional pictures, I guess this is
Sandcruiser v3.1. Almost stock, as I bought it. Note the snazzy mis-matched wheels. Crossing a creek on the Coastal Highway, near Tamarindo.

and this next one is Sandcruiser v1.0 (stock & stuck in baja, my first 'stuck', ever)

and this would be v1.3 in Xcalak, Mexico

here is v1.01- stock w/o the rack, with bfg 31x10.50 AT tires at Mike's Sky Ranch in Baja, getting spotted down a slope for which I wouldn't engage 4wd now, but was "serious Off Road" for me, then.

Another v3.2, just enjoying a simple day at the beach.

ok. now:

Post more pics!

:)

oh, and here is Sandcruiser v1.5
tipsy.jpg

this was some of the most uncomfortable driving ever: about 40 minutes at this wicked off-camber stance, steering around trees, and with about 3,000 ft of vertical drop on the passenger side (not a cliff, just a looooong way down if you flop). And we were about an hour from anywhere that we knew, and on the flank of a 14,000 ft volcano in Mexico. It was pretty, at least! :)

I remember this trip when I think about the perennial 35 vs 33" tire debates... sometimes taller isn't better.

^ :hillbilly: Following the logical progression of those 3 shots I smile at the "Expeditioner's mindset"...

"Headed out, played around a little, got it dirty, washed it, $h!t's still dirty, oh well, I'll wash it after the next trip."

what size tires on that 100? Good looking rig, I miss Joshua Trees.

*There's links in this post, enjoy the information! :D

Meyer's Beach, Oregon Coast..oddly enough, just a little ways North of Pelican Bay Prison, where they send you because even Corcoran's too good for you, and where you know who's (C.M.) locked up.. so much beauty around an area where some of the worst criminals are housed. Oddly creppy at first, had trouble sleeping the first night because of that.

*Those aren't flaws in the pic, lower right's the park sign and the cloud on the left ocean horizon is from a F-22 jet breaking the sound barrier. :D

;) My 4Runner got me to these spots so I get to break my own rule here and exclude the vehicle. :D I figure I see what I drive too much and I enjoy doing the color-rich scenics.

From the fires last year in California, this would be Eddy (yes, short for Edgar) my Raven out having a little fun before coming back inside.
