tried tapping, knocking and resorted to beating but no joy?

It's a little weird bc if you were looking for a blinking cursor in the cell like normal text editor, none showed up for me...but if ya just click or tap on the cell and start typing...it works (or did for me on both computer browser and iPhone).

Edit: I just saw your post that says it worked, but if others are looking for a cursor...just go for it!

I'm going to have to take a step back as wife will be under going joint replacement surgery sometime early next year. Trying to get earliest surgery date but out of our control.

Aw man... That doesn't sound fun.
One word of encouragement-- My 79 year old mom had knee replacement not too far back...and is getting around quite well again.

It's a hip and she has already had 1 done so no surprises other than the usual medical uncertainties. Thanks for the thoughts though.

Ya, hip is more serious for sure. Mom had a hip replacement too...just not so recently.

Hope all goes well. Your wife has a great guy looking after her. Good on you both...

Update, she was able to snag a mid Dec surgery date do to a cancellation so I should be good to go now!!

Our 96 year old grandma just had her second hip done a couple days before Halloween and she was scooting across the room on night one at home (much to the chagrin of all her daughters...)

Thanks for the thoughts, I will be more than ready for a little down time after her recovery to be sure. Care,custody and control of 5 horses,1 longhorn cow,4 dogs and 7 cats plus to a recovering wife is going to be fun?

Just made updates to the xls. Unfortunately we are a maybe at this point. The girls have spring break 3/25-4/2. I am going to see if I can get off 2 weeks from work and would meet you all on the ~19th in SD. I would need to trek down to Cabo and pick the girls up the week of the 25th, and then drive up to SD to fly back to DC. A ton of logistics need to work out for this all to happen. I will have confirmation end of Jan/early Feb
