The Land Cruisers will be in heaven. This is what they are made for; to get adventurers to/from some of the most interesting places in the world. I’m already looking forward to the stories and photos!

I'm shopping for a drone and will also probably have an Osmo for some video.

Still photography is still more my thing.

I actually did mouth to mouth on a stranger once.

Made me wanna gag/barf...but the guy lived.

As long as they don't try to smooch me back, we're good.

I'm reminded of The Sandlot.

I was about to bump this today too.

I posted up a bunch of points of interest somewhere in this thread. Since I'm off this week, maybe I'll go through, draft up and propose a route. Hopefully some other's can do the same and we can get a consensus?

I just don't want everybody to think I'm forcing my plans for the trip on everyone since this is everyone's vacation. Plus, if it turns out to be a bust or we all get murdered, I don't want to be blamed :)

Also, I'm still in the "heavy maybe" category as of now. I'll know more in a few weeks.

I am going to bail out due to competing vacation demands that family wants to do later this year. HNY!

I am going to bail as well (time off from work and spring break issues). Stay out of trouble and have a shot of tequila for me

Been going down for a long time and have dealt with a lot of Mexican LEO over the years all the way down to Cabo without ever an issue but I do have some GREAT stories. Can you have problem sure, can bad things happen sure, do check the San Diego paper any day. My point is if you are uncomfortable going to Mexico dont go because you will not enjoy it. But if you have an open mind, understand different countries do things differently, you are respectful, and you have a positive attitude you will have great time.

You do not need to go much further than the border to have open beaches to drive. The pictures were shot 4 hours south of Phoenix or 1 hour south of the border and chances are you will not see anyone.

Nice. I've been meaning to shoot Phil a message.

If you have any must-do/see or cool hidden camp spots, let us know. We're still very open to suggestions :)

Keep it simple, again you dont need to go a long way (unless you want to) to find cool place.
If anyone is ready to go hit me up I can leave tomorrow for 1,2 or 5 days.:D

Salina Point very cool IMO 6.5 miles off the coast with beach on both sides. Solo in a basically stock LX470. (not super smart to do it solo but thats just me, not super smart)

Salina point location► خرائط Google‏

Drinking is popular when beach running and one looks for entertainment after hours of beach driving . No birds were hurt in this video

Super cool watching the never ending string of birds taking off, truly amazing - I can only imagine that amount of bird droppings that must have peppered your rig

That's definitely one big thing I've learned from my 31 countries. Keep the schedule semi-fluid.

Well you're more then welcome to join in! Free tour guide (I'll supply the boozery).:)
