If you're looking for a guinea pig, I'm in SLC and would love a part time conversion. Especially since winter is coming up and I live next to a big parking lot that's empty at night. 4wd donuts just aren't the same.

What did you do at the wheel hubs during your diff scenario?

Lol, funny you should ask! I tried and failed with multiple different ideas. I ended up turning some inserts out of a semi soft plastic similar to UHMW on the lathe with a small step. I filled the hub full of grease and used a hammer to coax the inserts in from the back side. I used the dust caps on the outside. It actually worked like a charm.

Back in town, holidays behind us, catching up on builds and ready to re-engage on this hub project. Plus I had a customer call yesterday and light the fire as his truck was on the rack and he already purchased new US CV's put really wanted to go part-time.

We've set up a couple of customers with complete kits using the non-US CV designed for our HUBFHT001 and our t-case spool. It's actually not a horrible option for those needing to do a CV anyways but it's still more expensive than the alternative, roughly $1500 vs what I'm hoping will be closer to $750 for the AISIN custom gear. Plus that gear will be 300M so stronger than the out of the box gear. The crux of all of these projects is estimating demand and finding a production quantity that is marketable while practical.

Kit will consist of the necessary t-case spool and brand new AISIN hubs with the 300M gears, FIPG, hub gaskets and FIPG for the t-case. That price may or may not change a bit and that is driven by demand and actual costs. We have good supply of the hubs themselves and the t-case spools so I'm not anticipating any wild swings there.

At $750, how many of you are interested in a part-time kit.

Alright, 4 down.

Given 30-40% of our business is with Mud members (single biggest network of customers ) I can extrapolate and guess we have about 10 sold :D

Thanks Kurt

Im interested, but not yet committed. The price point is certainly fair, and I’d like to know more details on the install, and know how far into testing have you gone to get an indication of reliability and longevity.

Install: Is it similar to other part time installs where you open the t-case make the gearing updates, and button back up. And using stock CV axles simply replacing the flanges with locking hubs?

Correct, stock CV's, tried and true t-case spool (thousands of 80/100 guys running them) and AISIN hubs. The only missing link is the hub gear and the manufacture we are working with has built thousands of those too. Non-issue.

Install at the t-case is identical procedure to the current kit offers both from us and the many Aus companies doing so, nothing new there.

I'm so in!

Actually, I just need the custom AISIN hubs that fit to the US CVs as my t case is already part time :flipoff2:

We do plan to offer the assembled hubs with our new gear. We'd love to help AVM folks get some AISIN's :D

What sort of timeline are you looking at? Or are you still building a business case before implementation?

We are working out engineering and pricing based on x,y and z volume now. We could be shipping kits in the next 60-90 days or 6 months :D Production schedule and my schedule will dictate :D

Do know. The second I have them available we will be very noisy about it. I.e. please don't call and ask every 3 days. I'll update everyone when it happens.

Count me in.

I would be interested eventually, but probably a 2019 project. Just posting to help you gauge interest.
