The huz and I did my lift, its pretty straightforward..out of my 40 list the only questions or actual expertise needed would be on replacing the wheel stud. I was looking to be socialable, gawk at other Landcruisers and preferably help someone else in this club out.

Ryan - how much of a lift are you talking about?
 
Here's my small list.

Install my lift
Weld on my sliders
Bolt on skid
I will also have interior l.e.d.s and a new cd player but I may install those before then. May also try and fix my a/c if I get the itch
 
Ryan that seems like a lot! I have no clue how to do stuff on 80s! Well not that I'm an expert on 40s. My suspension seems pretty simple.

How hard is a 80 suspension to put on?

That's all fairly easy.
If I make it (about 50/50) right now i'll help you with that Ryan.
 
Ok so in the last 3 days my life has changed for the worse. Long story short I have a mass in my head about the size of a golf ball. Had a ct scan, an mri, and a spinal tap. I'm back home now in little pain compared to the.last 72 hrs but I hope to still majesty this hamom. Pray it isnt brain cancer!!!
either way I'm still living life to the fullest. No matter what this outcome is.

Back to.cruiser talk, al I can.do all of this work other than weld on the slides

THATS how we roll in this club..4 wheels and courage. Sent you a PM.
 
I think the caster plate will also need welded and drilled. Any one has a 1/2 inch 90 degree drill ( would make it easier).

I've done your whole list on mine except for the skid and I'd like to see how that looks. Let me know when and we'll get to work on yours. I've got a welder and we can take care of the sliders too.
 
Not 100%, but I'd like to try and make it, depending on date/location.

Ryan - I'll definitely keep you in my thoughts and hope for the best for ya bud.
 
Thanks for the prayers /words guys/gals. I'm back in the hospital. My life feel like an episode of house.
