it went to oklahoma city, hell you probably could run it up there at lunch time as close as you are? ;)

ok city is 4 hrs one way.........hardly a lunch break run.

So I guess that means to turbo in that diesels future? Sure does wake them up ...

Never say never, but as of right now.....no.

WOW!

It oozes clean...... look it cleaned your floor up too!!

Haven't posted much up lately, since I haven't had much to post. I did however get a few hours today, my neighbor was able to come over this afternoon and help me get the motor back in the chassis. I actually had given it the dupont overhaul a few weeks ago, I just never got a chance to take any pics and post them up. I used that Eastwood catalyized engine paint, supposedly good up to 650 F. I guess time will tell how well it holds up.

I got the tractor out of the shed, just easier than an engine hoist. Everything went well, dropped right back in as if it came out of there a few months ago. ;p

I also had bought a brand new pair of LHD OEM front fenders right before xmas. I figured I might as well bolt those on for fun, needs to happen anyway for fit up. Did a little tinkering here and there with some odds and ends, overall fun to see the drivetrain back in it.

My hands are shaking due to the withdrawl of updates.....

Sorry I haven't had any updates lately, just haven't had an opportunity lately to get anything done.....that life thing getting in the way again. :)

I did work on a cruiser tonight if that counts? My cd player in my 77 FJ40 died a while ago and I have meaning to replace it. I also wanted a stero that had an aux. jack on the front so I could plug in my satelite radio. I fired up the ebay last week and ordered up a $68 dollar unit, got it tonight. Took about an hour to swap out, works great.

One draw back is the cord that I use sticks straight up so I can't close the console door. I'm sure there is a cord out there that has a 90 degree end, so that would work. I also might swap out the console for one that has a seperate radio door. That is one thing I have always hated about this one, the fact that you have to open the entire console to adjust the radio.

Yeah, there's a 90 deg. jack available for that, I think our sat. radio came with one.

hey buckroseau! I'm bored at work - I need some crusier porn, hows your troopy build?

I know it seems like a poor excuse, but been busy...real busy. Got another thing I've been practicing for this summer a bit, that has been taking up a ton of time.

But...here are a few pics Aqualu sent me last week. They had everything welded up, need to be ground down. I think this week they were going to be welding on the front cowl and possibly fitting the hardtop sides. Possibly ready for shipment the end of May? :)

I love the thought of building a "new" truck with one of the aluminum jobs, but I can never get past the lack of ribs. I think I would wind up machining a bunch of beveled strips to apply to the appropriate areas of the tub, then SEM bed liner the whole thing to cover them up and fully bond them in place. The only time you wouldn't know the ribs weren't actually stamped in, would be from underneath!

Hi,
Have followed all your builds with amazement.
You do an excellent job.

One question re the aqual Tub
I notice the front floor pans are a lot more angled & shaped different. Thinking that your previous restos you kept to pretty much a stock look, what will you do re a floor mat?

Dave
