Yessir. Old housing was bent and the hub gear had to be beat on to engage or disengage. Huge pain. Elocker works too now! Dual cases and elockers for my mall crawler!
The white 80 and a parts LX I had both just soldI wasn’t prepared to spend another $5k on a teenagers truck. Looking for a 4WD 1st gen tundra/sequoia or a 3.4l 4Runner maybe. Anything worth having is $$$ right now.

Back the day my aging aunt gifted my daughter her bright blue and white 1968 Rambler station wagon that had been sitting unused in the barn for a while. That was in April. Talk about motivation, by July or August my daughter had earned enough money to buy her used Ford Escort GT. Our deal with both kids was we'll pay the insurance via our policy but they had to buy their own transportation. Mostly worked.

We did! Some of my oldest friends flew in to celebrate. We hadn’t all been together since we graduated.
And because it’s a small world, we worked as teenagers at the place the guy in the 40 and GX run now as adults. Great crew and great times.

Is the Skyline Wildlife Management Area in NE Alabama. Is closed about half the year to let the foliage and animals thrive. They kind of frown on 4WD guys, but we stayed on the trials, it’s legal to be there to camp, and we knew some locals too.

Not much going on. Drive the Flying Pig x2-3 a week. No fires or anything weird. It really is a blast to drive. Have a big big trip planned in September.

Full coverage! Even at $270 a month it’s worth it! This was a cheap 4x4 Toyota, but nothing is truly cheap anymore. Oh well.
This middle son is a mini-me…. I’m just trying to not be a grandad at 40. Being a dad at 19 was enough of that!
