Thanks for the heads up. I have a mac - and it looks very difficult to get a mac to sync properly with TIS - Sheesh; Hoping it's not going to be that difficult, as I'm not a whiz with this computer.

Mac's have caused some issues but the easiest way around that is to create a virtual box install to run a virtual environment and then install the linked virtual environment on that. This will give you a virtual windows box with the TIS software already installed on it (talking of the one linked in the first page). Thanks for the heads up. So it seems like obdinnovations has several options, would this one work with techstream?Pretty much any of the ones you find on eBay or Amazon will work just fine. You can go a little more expensive if you want to with someone like OBDInnovations, but that is not absolutely necessary.
Note that there are only a couple guys that have been able to get the bluetooth modules to work adequately with the TIS software, so best bet is to get a cabled version. And as for cable firmware v.1.4 vs. v.2.x don't really worry about that. From what I could find, which was minimal, it only looked like the difference was the ability to connect with newer (2015+) vehicles for v.2.x.
Were you able to the TPMS(Utility) function to work? I tried 3 different versions of techstream but the TPMS(Utility) option was either grayed out or was not thereOn my '12 460 the biggest difference I found between a 1.4 and 2.x with K-Line support is that I could get live data with the 2.x cable. Live data on 1.4 cable didn't work on my attempts...TS would error out.
@Joricano Where you installing and running the new version on the VM that is running windows 95 or just installing and running it directly on windows 10-64bit? I am stuck with the older version 12.x. and was wondering if updating would make a difference. Probably not. Thanks! I'm using Version 15.3.026 and i can't see the TPMS option. The new (hacked)version came with the OBD cable. Pisses me off because i bought the cable so i can work on the TPMS sensors and it doesn't seem like i can do what i intended

I asked a question via email & Facebook back in August and haven’t gotten any respond either. They’ve had very poor reviews in the past year or two. I don’t recommend buying anything from them
I ran it on two laptops. One was Windows XP the other was Windows 7. Both 32 bit. But the problem was that the TPMS option was not there@Joricano Where you installing and running the new version on the VM that is running windows 95 or just installing and running it directly on windows 10-64bit? BTW I am able to access everything with TS 12.x. but u know shiny new 15.x compels me to give it a look..lol
I'll try that version when i get back from this work tripThe 12.x version of TS has allowed me to program sensors on my '12 460.
Yup... Cable is not tied to software other than it is a TOYOTA specific cable (so will only read Toyota/Lexus).So here’s my question, I got tech stream to load on my computer, using VB, it’s the one from the OP. Now if I order a cable with software, will just the cable work? Because the lap top I have doesn’t have a CD disc in it. I have version 12.2 loaded from the OP it looks. Thanks!

i couldn't get it to work. I got Techstream loaded in Virtual Machine but it did not recognize the cable i bought from Amazon. My first try was a work laptop so there was loads of security stuff in it and it wouldn't let me load the Xhorse driver. So here’s my question, I got tech stream to load on my computer, using VB, it’s the one from the OP. Yeah not always the case. Sometimes it takes a bit of fenagling to get things working.i couldn't get it to work. I ended up using an old laptop which i got everything working(communicating with vehicle) but the TPMS Utility function was grayed out or removed. But i think that was a version issue.
I just wanted to let you know from my experience. Reason being is i thought once techstream was loaded and working in Virtual Machine it was gravy from there. But that was not the case for me. I also ended up using an old desktop to extract the Cable driver from the CD. Now i have the driver in a USB drive.
The TPMS function apparently only consistently works with the cables that have firmware higher than 1.4.x IIRCi couldn't get it to work.
