Took a mental break and went up to help dad make hay, stopped in for a weekend with friends to punish my liver, and dealt with the smoke etc that we have bad up here this summer

Just sold my large Kubota to get rid of the DEF set up and I was rarely using it. Also sold my small one and purchased a 2021 New Holland Powerstar 75 last week with 96 hours.

Been mostly kubotas most of my life except when I was in my teens and dad purchased some crappy old ford with cab. Also the old Allis Chalmers.

Gonna give NH a try.

Thing looks brand new, awaiting new bat wing to get shipped then hope to do some work but need rain before I go do some cutting.cant wait to log some time in it listening to my tunes.

I grew up operating Ford and International tractors. I still can't get used to seeing New Holland on the side.

Anymore they are all innertwined. I have a Case International with a 75 hp diesel made in Italy. Sad

On another note, if I had a nickel for every hour I spent on a Ford 4000 as a teenager......I would have a lot of nickels. I bought a new Kubota MX5400 (purposefully without a cab) but I looked hard for a used 4000-4610 variation in good condition. Hard to find and I didn't want a tractor project at the time.

The old Ford 7600 I spent many hours in without AC (it was cabbed) was not the most fun thing I ever did growing up cutting hay. New Holland engine is from Fiat, sure wish we could get things done back here in the US again.

I've been watching "Clarksons Farm" on Prime, pretty funny show and he has a huge Lambo he purchases. The show brings back many memories of the trial and tribulations of owning cattle and cutting hay growing up.

The two "big" tractors on the farm were an International 766 and a Ford 9600 (dual rear tires). The International had a ROP and the Ford had a ROP with canopy. I didn't know there were tractors with cabs growing up......not really true but there weren't any on the farm until after I moved away. Somehow the front tires on that 9600 had a way of throwing dirt right into your eyes.

Probably olive oil, but I'd have a fight on my hands trying to sneak out with Jeri's oil. It's hard living with a full blood Italian.
