I've been eyeballing that.........go good with my Offy valve cover. :D Anything over $500 would kill me with cost to get it home. :frown:

the body on that one looks to be in great shape, but I have never seen so much surface rust

Let me know when you get tired of that doorstop, it would look good with my valve cover.

OK, so the engine for project Two Speed is at the machine shop, and I was thinking of things to do "while I'm in there" to give the old 135 some help, nothing too extreme...keep in mind I have to stay with the original block so the 1FZFE is right out.

I have a press on crank single pully with vibration dampener, any help? I also have one of those transition year F145s sitting around, it has the later style int/ex ports with the external oil system for the rockers, and it has the "rare" "performance" int manifold...oiling mods?

I don't know, seems like the slippery slope, it's still going to be a 135, just wondering...what would you guys do to make a "sleeper 135"...if anything?

I dunno Phil, can you just use a later tapped crank and pulley? Definately do something with the valve seals the little o-rings don't seem to do much at all. Mark A. may be some help on both, not sure what your options are.

that looks like an offenhauser intake for a 235. i have seen the same think on a friends GMC duce and half that has a 235 that has some interchangeable to the TLC 135, 145, 155.

you can still buy them for 230 or so.

The head that we put on A-1's (from C_N) came with dual valve springs and real valve seals. SOR's kit came with replacement seals. Maybe this is a newer 135 thing?

It's REAL easy to adapt later valve seals to motors that didn't originally have them. You could do it at home with tools and parts available from Summit or Jegs... Or have the machine shop do it when they renew the valve guides and regrind the valve seats.

No, it's one of those damn previous owner things. :D Can't remember what I used for seals on that head. I do remember the top of one of the valves breaking off though..............forcing me to remove the head.

This is the air cleaner and plenum you need to find.

 Holy Cow, that looks like something I would build. Now, should it be two Aisins, or two Rochesters or .............

there is a pic of the setup in your? gallery. The one that Yankee Toys hosts. It would be dual Aisins. I have half the linkage for you. Just need some time to round it all up.
