Guys its a ~$10 for a factory part:rolleyes: is it worth redesigning the wheel
Mine is still good after 4 years of AZ heat:meh:

Completely agree. 18+ year old rubber will rip and tear. Just replace it and figure out how to build a decent looking armrest! haha

Coffee! I MUST have coffee!!!
I am worthless without several cups, and it makes me feel really good to be able to sip on Folgers' finest on the way to work. And yeah, I have spilled hot coffee in my lap.
Good thing about the little cup holder in the console: It stays hot enough to keep my coffee warm. Now if it would hold a cup on a corner.....

So I've got an armrest and a cup holder that holds 2 and keeps them hot for hours, what's the fuss about?

As for the hot drivers feet, this like @LandCruiserPhil said, why go around the $10 part? It works perfectly, and allows things to flex and move the way that they were intended. Don't recreate what works, is cheap, and easy.

Got a link?

I will be going back to the factory part eventually. I had the one from amazon sitting on the desk for almost a year. Finally installed it and it squeaks all the time. My feet aren't hot but its annoying to hear that sound turning the wheel.

Somewhat off-topic, but also check your shifter base gasket if your console gets very hot. bit more expensive at ~$40, but mine had a big tear and was letting a lot of heat in. Not difficult to change.. took me about 30 mins. Hardest part was getting the shifter linkage perfect again (mark it well before disassembly)

Something else to add to the list......

I did this this weekend. Easy fix but my steering wheel is of center enough to be annoying. I'll have to go back in and adjust it....grrr.

I thought this was going to solve my steering wheel squeak but it didn't. Oh well.

Done. Thank you!!!

Just when I think I am starting to get a handle on the "little things" this pops up on the first page. Just added it to the list to order on Monday. Along with all new weatherstripping for my doors. Thanks LCP.

I got this one today. Is it supposed to have a rubber seal on it? There is zero rubber on the one I received. Thx

The OEM is rubber. A lot of people installed this one with success.
DONT DO IT!

I went that route and wasted Time and Money, I will never get back.
I lubed it with everything and it squealed like a pig.

I took it out and threw it off an overpass just to feel better.
I've still looking for the person that proposed it.

I'm all for aftermarket, but this is not an improvement.
