204 degrees around town, 188 degrees at highway speeds, 75-80mph
Do you know which model Subaru this scoop is made for, and did you salvage it, or order new? If new, where did you get it? Thanks!
I used a STI scoop from Ebay for 118 bucks and then some rover knock off vents ( had to fill the "sport" script in)

Got a set of the rover vents for mine. Just need to install them.
the RR vents fit perfectly in the location i have them without cutting the hood bracing and they were cheap.

I have a 2004 wrx sti hood scoop I was planning to install on mine at some point - $100 with a free pickup or add $5 and I'll ship it. Same as above (same color too - PSM)
I just pop the hood... it drops approx. 5° on hot summer days over 100°
But hood vents in rear coners of the hood is tempting. I am more intrested in droping intake temp without a snokel but vents would help intake temp also i assume.

Anyone in this thread know how important the framing of the fzj80 hood is? Can it be cut into? I have some vents but the slats in the vent drop down below the mid point. See photos. Not sure if it will work to use these vents. If hate to trim them...and would be willing to cut the hood open if the frame is not super important. Bummer, I was under the impression that these vents lay flat on the hood.

Did you remove the frame from the hood? Did it have any negative effects? I just got the exact same louvers. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide

I installed these a while back. I cut the supports and re-bonded the factory brace. I also added an aluminum brace in the back. The vents actually add a bit of bracing back into the holes. Here are some pics...hope it helps.

I figured they would add a little bit of bracing back but I definitely will go with the additional support like yours. Well done dude

I covered the area in painters tape and used an air saw. I think you’d be fine with that setup. The blade is very thin with a high tooth count.
