The guys were locals from Cuba - I actually knew some from working on the 550: the owner of the feed store, and the guy on the left in the picture above with the red hat owns the Subway... They were getting the trees for the Catholic Church, school, etc. there in town. They'd been praying someone would come by for a couple of hours...

Wow, I think that you guys definitely earned some Cruiser karma for helping those guys out!

Thanks for all the pictures guys. Maybe Santa will bring a new camera to replace the one that I lost in the Jemez a couple of months ago. :frown:

Connie even admitted that she had a good time. She is a definite "maybe" for next year. :D

I think Connie was just happy to get to Los Ojos and get that deliciuos Red Stripe into her hands!

:)

Jill actually had a good time too.

and you think the stuck guys were ethanol driven...what about the 2 guys in the black truck going the other way trying to get past us at that time?! 1 truck, getting dark, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. wouldn't be surprised if we hear about them on the news in a day or so, found frozen to death in a ditch along that road.

I didn't notice the stuck guys being ethanol powered - the guys in the black truck going the other way were though...

Connie was offered a swig of Crown Royal by the Cuba boys.

I think it was more than that. These guys acted like we earned a trip through the Pearly Gates.

My Snow Fun.

Since I was unable to go yesterday, I went Hiking today not much snow and a whole lot of wind.

Great photos! Looks like you all had a great time and some fun wheeling. Sorry I couldn't make it. It worked out that I was home, we had to prepare for Lauri's holiday work party and we barely had time to do that. I learned that I should probably invest in some tire chains before I head out for a similar trip (Next year?). Glad everyone made it home safe...

Really, next year? You don't think you can squeeze in a run this year? Come now, get some chains and join us. If you order on Monday, should be good to go for next weekend.:D The chains from tirechains.com are of good quality from what I saw yesterday.

Why do you need chains? :flipoff2:

If I weren't spending my cash on cruiser parts, I'd probably order a set and try to go get stuck next weekend too.

You know how little progress I can make on a disassembled 40 when there's snow to be found (both for driving and for shredding?)

Dan

I thought about it last night, and instead of putting on the chains I could have just used the winch...

P.S. Next year is only 18 days away...

I like that one too, very cool!
I knew that my truck was very capable, I now know that its a beast:D
Cant wait to go out again and have some fun!
