With the tailgate 100%, an excellent AC system seems to be the next logical step. Most of the posts in the search are older, and I wondered if anyone has done this recently and might have some ideas on vendors and parts?
Can anyone tell me if a 1979FJ 40 factory air conditioner will fit into a 1977 fj40?There's a lot of threads on this subject. Search "air conditioning" and you get page after page. Here's just a few.

Vintage Air kit for 55?

Pig conditioning part 1
OK, my first "tech" article. My new 1976 Oinker lacked the most important mechanical feature it could have... AC. The 55 MPH gust doesn't cut it in Reno in August. Or July. Or March.
