Would a 17x9 -12offset/4.62 (back space) on 265/70/17 KO3 rub on stock suspension (2004 GX)?

Probably. I'd suggest zero offset to avoid rubbing. Negative offset really pushes the tires out and can result in a ton of rubbing. In addition to slinging road and wheeling debris all down the sides of your rig.

Ordered 255/75/17 Yokohama Geolandar's to install on a new set of OEM Trd Pro wheels, 17x7". Currently have the eiback pro coilovers in front 1.5" lift, and adjustable spring in rear 1" lift. Can't wait for install!

When I first bought my GX in September of last year I came here looking for some information on wheel, tire, lift combos etc. everyone here pushed me away from 35s, fear mongering me here and there; re-gear??? this and gas-mileage that; and I decided that this was my build and I wanted it to look the way I wanted it to look so I went with it.

Only reason why I say this is to inspire the new buyer to do whatever he or she wants! Just have fun with it, and enjoy it! They’re amazing rigs.

I get a lot of questions of how I’m doing what and what am I running so I’ll share.

Wheels: 17” method 314 17”x8.5” 0 offset
Spacers: spidertraxx 1.25” all around
Lift: Ironman foam cell pro stage 2
Tires: Mickey Thompson Baja mtz p3, 315/70r17
Other mods: Body mount chop, pinch weld trim, spc adjustable upper control arms, adjustable front and rear sway bar links, front bumper trim

I know it’s not perfect but I’m happy the way it turned out! And the plus side is… i don’t rub. Like ever actually ! Enjoy!

how much inches of lift did you get on the Ironman 4x4 FCP?

05 GX stock
Looking at these from a new GX550
Stock: 265/65/R17
New: 265/70R18

Tire size.com says the new ones are 2” taller overall. Any chance these fit?

iirc, 550 wheels have a smaller bore size that will not directly fit on 470. you will either need spacers/hub adapters or have the bore machined out to the larger bore size to get them to fit.

Thanks for the info…is there a way I can confirm the smaller bore size or not online somewhere? My initial search came up empty. They aren’t physically located very close to me so I can’t grab one and check myself or take to a shop easily.

Reply to my own comment….ChatGPT to the rescue….looks like the GX 550 is 95mm and the GX 470 is 106mm. Unfortunately looks like I’m gonna have to pass on these - I don’t think I want all the extra effort/cost to make these work.
