Mine was a long winded way of saying the IRS doesn't have our bank info. I tried to check our status through the website, and got some sort of error message. I am aware of all of the income cutoffs.

I believe if you end up making over the threshold in your 2020 taxes you'd owe it back.
Actually, if you haven't yet filed for 2019 and subsequently don't qualify based on your 2019 return, you may have to pay some or all of it back. This is not true. This tax credit will not need to be repaid.
"...taxpayers receiving a stimulus payment based on a previous year’s income level would not have to pay anything back if their earnings in 2020 exceed the program’s income limits, according to the IRS. "

Not youWhat will you be spending your Stimulus check on?
I read about it before the plan was finalized, and apparently it changed. Everything I've read today agrees with your statement.Considering that I haven't filed my 2019 return yet, I'd be curious to see a source for that.
According to this article: When You File Your 2019 Tax Return Will Impact Your Stimulus Payment
...if your advance payment is LESS than what you’re owed when you compute your 2020 return, you’ll get the excess as a credit on that return. But if your advance credit is GREATER than what you’re actually owed come the filing of your 2020 return, there appears to be no mechanism to either 1) repay the excess payment, or 2) recognize the excess amount as income. @OffRoadScott Have you purchased a house before or will this be your first? Some of the options the VA system allows are great (I got our house that way), but the funding fee is pretty steep compared to other options that can be out there. Get a reputable Mortgage broker working for you, and as a "second" opinion, when you're ready to dump all of the paperwork to get a true pre-approval, drop your stuff off at a credit union as well. They also have pretty attractive options it seems.
As to stimulus check, I'm not holding my breath; We owed taxes in '16,'17, pushed in '18 and I haven't filed '19 yet. If we get it, I'll probably sit on it although it depends upon how long I get to sit on the sidelines from work.
I had good luck with Azfcu. All in for my refi was $2600 including the appraisal. Interest rate was .5% below other banks. A friend of mine just looked into a refi with Wells Fargo, closing costs were 7k with no points so they ran.Thank you for the advice, I might try pushing it through USAA as well as a small credit union here in AZ.

@Somebodyelse5 what is that little beast? I've always thought RC stuff was/is cool, but the few I've owned get run a lot for a couple of months, then rot on the shelf.
The only rig I have right now is the little Losi micro desert truck. 1/24th
