Wow Tim, that is a great looking Pig!!!Hope that name isn't taken!
FINALLY I have a piggy again. It has been far too long. The body and frame and interior etc are amazing on this rig. Definitely has been restored at one point. Engine fires up instantly but smokes quite a bit. Looks like a chinese carb but he had a used weber in a box of parts that came with it. Anyone have a 1F OEM carb?Prob will test out a sniper on it eventually. No big plans for her right away. Too busy getting ready for Cruise Moab.
Hey any piggy vendors want to sponsor a pig run at Cruise Moab next year? Let me know! Also let me know if you will be at CM, I will be at the trail leader table all day Thursday and a reminder if you are driving an FJ40 to CM, we have a 40's Only Run on Friday sponsored by Proffitts!
Anyway. Lovely to be back on the Pig forum.

What does the bumper sticker say?
That's great that you are back in a Pig!!!Yeah I have never been a white rig guy. My 80 and 100 and LX etc are/were all dark colors. But I am building a white 60 and now this white on white on white pig...definitely growing on me! And hides the Colorado pinstripes better.
OK some frame and interior pics too

All of these things do a great job, ideally when combined. Is there a return line from the electric pump back to the fuel tank? What type of vent system do you have? the little plastic one same as the 40s or the big metal ones? Pics of your gas cap too...
Might have been me.OK back from Cruise Moab and that one red pig there that has one or 2 modifications has me motivated to get to work on my pig![]()
Talking to Georg about putting Terrain Tamer parabolic springs on!
Working on figuring out the carb and fuel pump issues. Then want to plan the first 2 mods, power steering and disc brakes in the front at least. Rear window works with the key. Down is great but up needs help but feels more like a wiring or power issue than a gear issue?
Wiring. There is an article on the rear window on the main page of this section.Does not work from the dash switch.
Then I want to drive it for awhile and see what else is needed. Would really love to drive it to SAS 10 in a few months!
Definitely was you! I was trying to be silly.Might have been me.
I do believe that I bought one of my first Pigs from you TJ! It was a red/primered one that was in amazing shape but did not have an engine. I was gonna swap something in so I could run the Rubicon that year. GOD was I naive.....and somehow I still have the title for it? I was browsing through my pile of old titles and saw your nameThat's great that you are back in a Pig!!!
Might have been me.
I’ll be at SAS 10, too.
Willing to sponsor a piggie run at CM next year.
Might have 2 pigs and a 45LV there.
I got a deal for ya
Some more details, this is straight and quite clean:

Kurt / CO lift (minus shocks), discs, etc
Likely a cleaning or alignment/binding issue. Either the mechanism internal to the tailgate or the glass runs.
Wiring. There is an article on the rear window on the main page of this section.
Lmk if I can help, would love to see you there.
Wouldn't they be the same gear ratios? I thought they were always 4:11So I am thinking that frame and lift deal is, well, a pretty good deal.I will try the Terrain Tamer parabolic springs on my next 60 for sure. But just too good of a local deal I think to pass up. Couple of questions for the class (herd). The frame is a 79 and my Pig is a 70. Any major frame differences? I think my frame is pretty solid though and the vin matches, so doubt I will do anything with the frame. (HEY anyone need just the frame??) Also wondering about the gears in the diffs from 70 - 79...which is more desirable? I want to swap the disc brakes over, thinking rebuilding the whole axles etc first and then swapping them in with the 'new' springs...thoughts??
Wow, now there's an oddity. Every year prior and after 4:11? I think there was a similar situation with old Toyota pickups. There was one year where they strayed from 4:11.‘79s had 3:73s like the 40s, at least mine did![]()
Pretty sure that’s 79 and up for the 40s (79 to 84) and 55s (79 and 80).Wow, now there's an oddity. Every year prior and after 4:11? I think there was a similar situation with old Toyota pickups. There was one year where they strayed from 4:11.
I remember that Pig! That is funny that you still have the title.I do believe that I bought one of my first Pigs from you TJ! I am SO excited about this Pig! Been a very long time since I had a Piggy to drive, and the 2 I drove back in the day were nowhere close to being as nice as this one!
I think this is correct.Pretty sure that’s 79 and up for the 40s (79 to 84) and 55s (79 and 80).
