Hello FloridaFJ80,

A couple of questions, just for clarity.

For each of the 2 fabric choices - all parts, top, sides and all are the same material?

Your web page mentions this at the bottom:

Installation Kit
  • Hog rings
  • Steel rods
  • Foam inserts
Are these things I need to supply for the installation?
Or do you supply them?

Thanks

And also - is there any important seatcover pattern difference between Landcruiser and LX450?

I see you have foam bottom cushions for both. What's the diff?

In addition to @Bambusiero questions, also, what year and seats will these fit? Specifically, will they fit my 1992? I know that 1991 and 1992 only came with manual seats, but are they the same manual seats that were still available in the 93-97? Thanks in advance.

I have only looked at the first and last page of this thread. Has anyone gotten these installed?

All tops and sides are all the same material. The kits come with an installation kit, which includes does items.

The only difference between an LX and LC seat is that the LC covers have a 1" pleat on the covers vs the LX which dont. See attached.

I have templates for all year 80 series including the FJ80.

Taking preorders. @LS1FJ40 has a set enroute that will be installing soon.

your web site doesn't show and option for manual seats when selecting the build out. How is this handled?

Thanks Eric

Hello FloridaFJ80,

I've been expecting photo's of the installed final product, either here or on your website.
Frontside, backside, underside, power controls, etc.
Would really like to see it before buying...

I haven't installed them yet. You will get installed pictures later today. Just picked them up on Friday from my upholsterer.

They look really good and my upholsterer only had one sight issue installing them. And that wasn't related to the covers themselves but the seats.

Got the passenger seat installed the other night. Hopefully get the driver seat installed tonight. Just haven't had any free time.

As far as I can tell, that looks great installed! Looks like a pretty decent match with the color and the pattern looks updated but the fabric doesn't look too modern for a 25 year old vehicle.

Couple questions... Does the material feel like it is pretty resilient? Like it might hold up in a off road vehicle interior? I try not to be abusive to my interiors but I also don't like babying them either! It is kind of why I drive older used vehicles.

Also, are you installing this in your 1992? I ask because it looks like your middle row of seats has a fold down armrest in the middle, and mine doesn't have that?

The verdict is out on the durability of the fabric. I originally was a bit skeptical of the fabric but then once installed it feels nice and firm. I plan on being hard on it so I will know soon enough!

I am installing 91-92 manual seats in to my 93. I kept the 93 middle row seats since it has the arm rest. I tossed the 92 middle seat (actually having it sitting waiting to be tossed).

I sent Frank the factory covers from my spare set of 92 front seats. He has the pattern for 93 middle row. There are a couple of things different between leather and cloth for installation. The leather needs fewer attachment points to keep it tight. So on the middle row there are a couple spots behind the arm rest that would've gapped a bit but my upholsterer fixed that easily. It wasn't even noticeable but he knew it was there.

Over all, I'm quite pleased.

Will Frank @FloridaFJ80 have a pattern for the 1992 second row without the armrest in the middle? In other words, if I go on LandcruiserHeaven website and order a set of cloth covers for 1st and 2nd row for manual seats, will I get the correct middle row cover?

I know I can ask Frank in an email or a pm, but I would think it needs to be answered in this thread for posterity. I have already decided I am buying a set of these covers. I just have to wait for my disposable income to catch up with my decision! Can anybody relate?!

Yes I have a full set for the 1992 front and second row. @LS1FJ40 gave me a complete set to use.

I put in an order in this morning for some gray cloth ones (manual front seats in a 94, 2nd row has arm rests).
Thanks Frank

Are there any pics of the tan/brown cloth on the power seats? I am in the market for some covers.

@FloridaFJ80 - Bump for @ecameron87 's question ... would love to see the tan/brown cloth seats. Difficult for my uncreative arse to get comfortable with what the pattern would look like on seats from the standalone cloth sample photos.

um - heres what everyone wants - one brown option/ one grey option.........done

and to top it off- every 40/45/55/60/100/200 owner would also want a few sets each for most of their rigs. You may need to relocate to a town with high unemployment and employ the whole town to keep up with production!
