HID headlight install

It's been a while since I've updated this thread. There have been a few new developments with the truck in recent months, but I'll have to post those up later. Meanwhile, here's an update on the most recent addition.

I picked up these HID lights a few weeks ago so Hilldweller from ExPo could test them. When he does a thread about the test results, I'll post a link. Below are some pics from the install. The new lights are AWESOME.

This truck looks funny with those headlights. Lol, it looks like someone's choking it.

Awesome truck, but the headlight are unfortunate. I would rather drive with my maglight out the window :o

Had the pleasure of working on this truck and Robs trailer. I wasn't a fan of the lights at first but it took turning them on one time at night for all of that to go away. I've thought about other ways to make them look more stock. I think installing them in a 7" standard clear housing. Maybe a plastic housing with a set of angel eyes would make them look great.

Thanks! I added a Front Runner roof rack a few months ago, and yesterday I replaced the old dual Optimas with new dual Die Hard Platinums. Most of the attention recently has been focused on the trailer instead of the truck. Marshall at Trollhole's made some major improvements to the trailer...new axle, trailer brakes, wheels and tires to match the truck, custom outriggers and fenders, paint job, pintle hitch, interior LED lighting, etc. I've been meaning to post a detailed thread about the trailer but haven't gotten around to it yet. Below are some pics of the truck and trailer from a camping trip in late January.

Awesome looking truck mate, those lights look good, it's good to see someone moving forward with originality:D

Previous (fleeting) owner of this FJ here - check your inbox, I had a really funny and coincidental story involving this truck this week, out of nowhere. Glad to see this thing landed in the hands of somebody who takes great care of it!

UPDATES!

Many thanks to Steve at Southeast Overland for supplying most of the goodies and Marshall at Trollhole’s Cruisers for installation and electrical wizardry. Here’s a rundown of the latest additions:
