The primer stayed on the
the lizard skin pulled off. There was a bubble under the raptor liner. And I eventually cut it open to glue it back down. That's when I investigated more.

For a while I thought I didn't prep it good enough. I brought the whole floor down to metal and etched it. I did everything the instructions said to do.

The only places that it failed were the exact places that got stupid hot from the exhaust before. It was the reason I wanted to coat it.

The heat shields and rubber floor mats have done more for cabin comfort than the liner did brand new. The only thing left is to do the ceramic window tint and this will be like a modern car.

Was this interior or exterior? If it peeled away from the primer, was there an issue with adhesion? Did the primer peel away from the metal?

Well, I guess you can't add a quote when you edit your post.

Put on the tunes and started spaying paint today.

Worked all three days of my weekend getting this roof in order again. Still a little texture, but came out 100 times better than the last time. A little more to do before it’s completely final and crossed off the list, but for the most part, this is done.

I went back to the post that started this microcosmic saga, and that was July 15th. Spent about two months in the school of hard knocks over this one little area.
I can honestly say that I can now get on with my life😓😅
