Thanks for the info. I just got mine in the mail yesterday, ordered it through AutoZone for about the same price. It won't go in just yet, I'll wait until I get ready to install the 3FE into my '86 FJ60 project vehicle. My original is still working OK, but I'll use the new one and keep the old one for a spare.Just wanted to throw in my 0.02 cents, since I replaced mine yesterday with the earlier mentioned cable...
Bought mine from Autozone. Was $36ish, and took 2 days to arrive as a special order part. Is definitely the same cable as shown in @LAMBCRUSHER 's pictures.
Long story short, it works, but the only part that didn't quite fit right was the white plastic piece on the gas pedal end (see earlier pics for reference). Those three pieces have to slip through a metal hole on the bracket that connects to the firewall, and the white plastic piece is sized/cut wrong, making it just slightly too big for that hole in the bracket. I just took a file to the edges of that hole, and was able to force the white piece in through the hole to get it through. Other than that, this cable works great, and I'm glad we have an alternative. My original was destroyed, so it's nice to have it back on the road.
Had a scary near-runaway situation where accelerator stuck last night. Tracked it down to the cable. Looks like BJ60 uses the same part as the FJ60. Ordered one of the Pioneer Automotive CA-9013 from Autozone (saved a few bucks off the Summit price), and will fit it as soon as it gets in and report back here on BJ60 fitment.
