CRZR45, thanks for the pics!! Those really helped. Of course it looks like I am missing two pieces so that made it difficult to figure out. I’d prefer to not buy the entire kit. Anyone know if you can buy individual pieces and if so where? Thanks!!

George at valley hybrids in Stockton got me mine and he always is a great source for parts like that !
 
Appreciate the info!!! Pretty frustrating when parts are missing like that but you don’t know it at the time. I think I’m heading down the right track to getting it fired back up! Again, thanks for all the help.
 
Here’s a diagram of what’s involved. There’s another active thread right now about these parts.

Unfortunately all of the linkage is discontinued, so you’ll have to find these parts used. Cruiserparts, Georg, or post a wanted ad in the classifieds.

Looks like you are missing the 78103 rod, which has a press fitting to receive the ball from 78106. Plus the throttle return spring 78013A.
(I learned over the years that having the correct return spring actually matters)

Look closely at the diagram and note the small cotter pins that keep some of the ball/socket press fittings in place. If you can find toyota pins, great, but you can also get by with something from the hardware store. Just get a bunch of little ones in various sizes.

I got what I needed for the throttle linkage connection!! Thanks for the responses.
Well back to my post in this thread from Nov 21st!! As I mentioned we got the engine to crank after going through all the connections from the battery to starter however I'm not sure what fixed it at the moment. Last night I tried to turn it again and nothing. Just a spark at the positive battery post. The positive cable connector looks awfully worn on the inside. Is that more than likely the cause or do I have some other electrical issue? Thanks!

New terminal clamp did the trick!!! Trying to get gas to the carb now. Cleaned the fuel filter really good but still nothing coming through. I'm guessing it is plugged up somewhere between the filter and the tank. Could be the fuel pump as well I suppose as it sat in a field for years. Anyone aware of a common place where they plug up? I did drain the tank and it was pretty nasty. Thanks!
 
Run a line from fuel pump inlet into a fresh can of gas and bypass that tank til you can clean it out… just squirt a little gas in carb to prime it and turn the key!

You should probably drop that tank anyway to clean it up. A piece of bailing wire in your drill might do the trick to open your line. I bet it's clogged at the rear.
 
I'm set to take it in for the fuel tank recall on Dec 22!! Was just hoping to drive it in there and not trailer it in.
When you say the rear I assume you mean where the gas line comes out of the tank?

You will know if pump is bad by putting a line in a fresh can of gas then hit the starter. It should get fuel to carb . If not replace pump. I would just throw a new one in and call it a day since tank will be new.. along with new soft lines and blow out hard lines or do as stated above with a drill and either bailing wire or I like weed eater string in a drill method.
