2mbb, thanks for the suggestions!!! I appreciate all the help!! I'm hoping its a minor fix and no major clutch replacement is involved!!

I replaced my master and slave last summer. I can't remember where I got it, but it came with a braided stainless line. Its a good thing too as the old line got destroyed removing the slave cylinder. I'll look and if I can find the receipt, maybe someone else know offhand.

Awesome!!! Thanks a bunch MoaByte!!

The hard part is starting out and stopping but I figured it out. Clutch cable broke on my Baja Bug out on Hells Revenge trail.
on a 'yota the starting is actually quite simple... the clutch cancel button. push it in, crank the key n away you go. at times i use it in tight spots where engine running can be too much

Think I got the clutch issue resolved!
However I went to start it the other day and it turns but won't fire up. Tried again this morning with no luck. Ran fine a few days back. Would a fuel pump just stop working all of a sudden while sitting? Can you hear it if it is pumping like it should be? Thanks for any help!!

You can’t hear the mechanical fuel pump. It only pumps when the crankshaft spins.

Crank over the engine with the starter maybe 6 cycles. You can hear them while the starter is running.
Then get out of the car and take a look at the sight glass on the carburetor. Shake the car a bit and you should see some gasoline sloshing inside the float bowl.
If you can’t see any gas at all (might need a flashlight) while shaking the truck - the fuel pump isn’t pumping gas up to the carburetor like it should.

Awesome!!! Thank you for this info OSS.
It has been leaking out the bottom a little so probably needs replaced anyways.

Sight glass was empty so I assume the fuel pump is shot. I did notice it looks to be leaking out the bottom of the fuel pump more than before. Any recommendations where to get a new pump with the spacer and gaskets? Thanks

Quick question for you knowledgeable folks... does the oil pressure sending unit sensor (I think this is what it is called) leak when it is shot? Thanks

Your spacer is probably fine. Usually it’s stuck on there pretty good. You’ll need to scrape the old gasket off of it before installing a new gasket & pump.

Fuel pump stuff can be purchased at the link below:

OSS again I appreciate all the help!!

Well I thought I'd give it another try this weekend and of course it fired up!! I read another thread on here about vapor locking from the charcoal canister. If that was the case would it vapor lock for several days or do I more than likely just have a fuel pump issue? Thanks for any suggestions!
