So Cindy and I brought home our FJ45 lwb...

The list is long but reads something like this:

V8 crate engine with all the bling
rebuilt SM465 with plate adapter to 3 spd tcase
cut and turned front axle with Longs and mini truck outers
Power steering and Hy Steer
rear has Detroit and ladder bar for axle wrap
Spring over with OMEs front, stock rear leafs, Rancho 9000s
4 wheel disk brakes
On Board Air
custom rear tire storage (from FJ55)
new gas tank, used bucket seats with power, all new weather stripping including the bug catcher windows,
twin sticks from Hadley, gauges where ash tray was, all rust replaced, new headliner, wiper motors, ... the list just goes on and on.

Remaining items, front bumper and Winch, rocker protection and LineX the bed.

This truck is a real head turner and certainly the nicest Land Cruiser I have ever driven.

The color blue was chosen by my wife Cindy of course... but I made sure it was the dark Toyota Blue common on Mid 80s FJ60s. Standard Toyota white for the top and bezel. I would have chosen Red, but in hind sight, the blue is really nice.

Ryan's Dad Randy did the body and paint work. But its a cruiser, it is only going to be 'so' nice. Of course, the truck went to him in pieces so he was able to paint everything. I believe he currently has a 55 in the paint shop.

Yes, I am getting the antique insurance where I set the value, but that is also why there is no winch on the front yet... they will not ensure with a winch on front.

I picked up the replacement taillight lenses some time ago when someone made a retro batch, and I picked up that bug catcher weatherstripping when Robert F did a batch. In hind sight, just change out the upper portion to the later style wing windows. I'll probably never open them, but the new rubber looks good.

the photos suck as I don't own a nice digital camera... but you get the picture. :)

McGrew? Will it get dirty?? Not sure I am ready for that yet. :)

Thanks all for the positive comments.

(my other FJ45 is in the for sale section... make me an offer!)

Congrats on the new addition to the family Tony! or.. Remodeled addition to the family!

Marshall... when you posted photos of yours, I commented that mine was going to be very close... and as you see, it is. :)

I opted to run the later style turn signals as I like them better than the early ones... personal preference.

nice cruiser Tony !!!:beer::beer:

I like the long bed ?? you should take it to s&t ??

also I"m looking for a sheet metal man ??? to replace my roof on my 45lv ?? :frown::frown: see ya ( aka 55guy )

single case, nothing fancy. SM465 with plate adapter. stock cruiser 4:11s and 35" tires.

LineX next Friday... and waiting on insurance and DMV to complete.

I am just looking for excuses to drive this truck. :)
