Did you drive the 40 to SAS?
It was on a trailer. It was agreed to get this back to the East Coast, it would be allowed. It has plans to visit the East coast before riding in a 40 across country in 2027 and handed off at the Rubithon. It actually did ride in the 40 all the way. I took it out at nights when we checked into the hotel and placed it back each morning. It would not be a bad ride in my 40 but I did not have time, as it was it was a 3 day drive home. It will be in a 40 all around VA and where it goes from here.

The official baton-briefcase handoffs… both made it to Solid Axle Summit 10!

The OG Briefcase made its was to SAS10 with @John McVicker and handed-off to @matzell making it’s way safely to the East Coast riding passenger in his FJ40.

The second briefcase was shipped to @POTATO LAUNCHER where he loaded it up into his FJ40 and cruised it to the Solid Axle Summit 10 event and handed it off to @OlYellr who loaded it up safely in his FJ40 and plans to take it to the West Coast.

Happy Trails and remember to add to the briefcases and write in the log books! Safe travels and keep those briefcases safe and thanks for continuing their adventures! Keep them moving!

Keep us posted please!

Rad to see them still on the move 😎

The other case rode in the front pass seat of my 40 back to VA from SAS10. Once the weather cools I have plans for a tour of VA and some other club visits.

We ran US 50 from Montrose to about Witchita then took the HWY on our 2000 miles trip home.

Funny how the other case basically took 50 the other way. Going to ge to the start of Lincoln Highway on west coast- then look for stops and passing case off. Getting some thought what and how I want to document the journey and toss in.

The small one is the one I started in Washington State and it went to Baja. I was hoping to see it get to key West and up to Maine so it hit all four corners of the Continental US but glad you it's moving. Are there any stickers left?

Any left? Does the sun rise in the East? Going to guess all of them. (Thought the concept was cool with your stickers and thought of making some too).

I have tentative plans to be in Stowe VT October- not 100%. Not even 80. Heck of a drive though. And know some people like @FJmaine (met in 2022 at the Pilgrimage event in Royalton VT) - he might be a good candidate too and yet relay to him is better.

Pulling back the rubber band and aiming it east (little other directions possible)

I think that is why one case went East from SAS immediately too.

I'd be happy to participate, but October is approaching the end of my driving season. Once salt is on the road, I park it for the winter. I'll be at the Pilgrimage in South Royalton, VT again- 1st weekend of October.
