I wish i could have started with a FJ45 Rolling Chassis. After a year of looking at way overpriced stuff, I went this route.

Is the Mrs. coming to ACT2010? I'll give her a ride in it and then she will make you build one. Although, She will feel silly sitting on that side of the vehicle without a steering wheel in front of her. :D

Probably cheaper to ship your rig direct to Alaska and save the 7 day each way drive.

I think the Beagle Charriot is about to get Truggied and SOA.

The only time I use it anymore is to take the wife and kids to SnT.

Really.....:hhmm:

If you had the choice when going wheeling, would you take:

The FJ40.5 on 39.5 Iroks fully locked
The 1976 FJ 40 on 35"s geared at 198:1 and locked.
The bone stock 1977 FJ40 with 31's
The 1986 FJ60 "Beagel Chariot" on 33's.
The 72 GMCummins Tow Rig on 35's - fully locked.

are you going to put a nose guard and stinger on it ??

How long have you been waiting on the parts? Are you taking it on the New Year's snow run?

Dan gave me the detailed info. Crossing fingers for the parts to show up for him as a New Year's gift.

Anything been happening with this rig?

The bed is back off and the sheet metal replacement has began .

I have to replace the power steering pump and wire up the rear lights and plumb in the second fuel tank.

I also have to get the front driveshaft converted to a Long Travel.

I just have to be home to do all this.

My order showed up from CCOT, I cannot use any of it on this rig since the radius's are different and the rear sill is different as well. The parts are correct, just not for my application. I will end up using the sheet metal and parts on one of my other FJ40's.

I will begin building everything from scratch.
