Not sure where my old posts are… too lazy to search. Finally getting down to nitty gritty rust repair. What I thought wasn’t bad… is. Pulled out the weird roofless wonder and it has a great floor for some reason. Onward…

On the bench. Same place each time. As In the last pic. Basically goes “up” from the location in the picture about 3-4” then stops dead. You can hear the motor still trying, no joy.Did it hang up while in the tailgate, connected to the window or on the bench? Same spot each time?
No, I bought it from a guy in New Zealand and shipped it over. The pic is from the Reno Air Races, I get to be the winners ride, which is just a hoot. I use it to help out the Humane Society and am looking for other volunteer opportunities for it. It gets a ton of attention wherever I have it. The custom plate is fun too. That fire truck is that the same one that Specter off-road owned years ago ?
Close to me too... but wife will chop my...cash supply... off if I tried. Among other things.Close, need to investigate
I dunno. It was in the back of a parts pig with a bunch of other junk. I thought maybe it was a score, but I guess just another piece of weirdness…Did you get a RHD box on accident?
Oops… wrong thread…Just realized I short cut a bit while installing the VA air conditioning, I have a rule to never use crimp-only connectors, especially in a hidden area. For shame!!

What system did you use? DS?My driver side has been broken for the whole decade I've owned it. But putting the electric system on negates issue and the window does fall anymore. In fact I think the ds electric window works better than all the other windows because the register is broken.
That's true!!They're all unique!
Go with it!!!Amazing how good this floor is for sitting full of dirt and leaves with no roof for years. I’ll take what I can get.

For the tailgate glass keyed switch, I have a couple of the assemblies but no keys. Is there a way to get these keyed that anybody is aware of? Also, for the weather stripping I know from the other thread that the main perimeter seal is being investigated to be made by that company in Australia. I think these are also available on ebay and I've seen them around here and there. But are the other seals for that window available? The wiper seals especially.

I was rummaging thru the carcass I got from you a couple years ago. Still has a few thing I'll need for this restomod. Parts of the handbrake assembly and a couple floor sections. I managed to get a clean NV title in my name for that too, from the old title you had. Thanks again!

Found this bitchin’ wiring diagram book on eBay. It’s for a 76, but I imagine has some value for many years. If there is a circuit you’re in need of let me know and I’ll get a picture of it.

If this is really rust free that’s a pretty good price I think.

The rust bucket surprised me. I was rummaging thru the junk in the back and found a power steering box and reservoir. And the windshield is good.

Found a roller of a 1994 FZJ80. As I am old I don't necessarily enjoy full leaf springs any more. Curious if anybody has ever heard of putting a Piggy on this frame / suspension to gain that bitchin' ride. I have some fab skills and access to master fabricators. So I have that going for me, which is nice.
