What half doors?
The Aqualu aluminum half doors that accept the Bestop soft upper doors are the only off the shelf option for half doors with soft uppers that I've been able to find. It would be great if you could recreate the Bestop uppers so that they match and integrate with your soft tops. I am trying to piece together a complete soft top/ soft upper window/ half door solution for my FJ40, so I'm open to looking at other half door options if anyone has any other suggestions.

Perhaps Trollhole could (in the future) have you send in your bestop uppers and he can have them "re skinned" in a material that matches his tops. That would be a great solution.

Yes, I would buy a set of 1/2 door soft uppers. Otherwise I'm gonna fumble around to try to do it myself and probably fail miserably.

Sounds like there would be a demand for 1/2 door soft uppers. I'm trying to achieve the same look as the Icon FJ40 soft top, so if Trollhole can pull it off...I'm definitely a buyer!

Somebody send me a set of upper doors that they are willing to be a guinea pig and I'll see what I can do. Now is the time as it's winter and orders are slow. They won't have any time for mock-ups come spring.
How will you match people's doors? My half doors are custom and they are a straight angled cut. Other doors have a lazy S type cut.

I have a set of Kayline soft door lowers and uppers I'd be willing to donate, but I don't know if that would be the popular design since they don't exist anymore.
I think you need a set of lowers then You need to fabricate the upper to match the upper door opening.
Time permitting, I'd be willing to fabricate the frame of the door upper to fit the door opening if you can get the top builder to skin 'em.
There may be an opportunity here, depending on the demand of your soft tops.

I would be more interested in just sending my tops in to be skinned to match a top that also would be ordered from you. I plan to make custom tops to work with my aqualu half doors, so I'm sure they would be different from someone else's half doors.
I'm also planing on using the Aqualu half door, so perhaps if Trollhole is up for it, he can replicate SSCR's custom soft upper doors and be able to provide a matching soft top & upper door package.
