That's genuine.

Gonna see if I can score one when I get back to work.

:)

Dan...ill let you know if I can score one.

You might as well make it three.

Nah, you guys aren't going for that are you? Pulled in by the old 'official looking Toyota part' ruse eh? That is clearly a printing error, both in the EPC and in the packaging and actual product. It's not even a real part number -totally imaginary. Fact is, Toyota never even made diesel engines at all. ;p You guys need to get your head into the real world here and not be suckered in by stuff that's merely printed. Get your grunt on!

This has been an entertaining read!

Its funny how whenever the 1HZ T appears in a parts manual,the 1HD T is not mentioned:rolleyes:

Some blokes have a hard time accepting defeat! :D:D:D

Now what about that 2H-T???

Dragging this thread up from the depths - kicking and screaming...

Well this topic has been lying almost dead and buried in the back of mind for some time now. The only spark of interest was the fact that the EPC shows the 1HZ-T engine label under the 'Caution plate & name plate (engine)' section as shown below.

I've wondered if ordered, what label would turn up. So a few weeks ago i thought i would price it up (the time its taken shows the level of importance this has to me :hillbilly:).

It priced up at NZD$9.60 (approx USD$7.87), so i thought i'd order it - just for ****s and giggles!!

Heres what turned up -

Very cool!

I looked up the number in Toyota Canada, no matches.
Therefore not available in the N.A. market.

Elaborate Hoax?

Snailtrails no where to be seen.

Posted this then fled to brazil i say!

Not available in the US. Checked yesterday. It is a no-good number.

Europe is going to be the place to find these.

Or reproductions.

If anyone wants these and Onur is right about availability in Europe, i can order a bunch and stuff them in an envelope. No problem.
Let me know.

I'm e-mailing the parts manager right now to see if i can get them and at what price. Europe is expensive BTW!

or you can try Dave at Japan 4X4 in Japan, he can probably score them as well ...

thanks for stepping up to the plate troopie.

Just got an email back. Only 2.50 a piece! Euro's that is.

Let me know how many and i'll get on it.

What would the shipping cost be from your location to the U.S. Pick any city just so we have a ball park idea. Thanks.

I can send an envelope up to a pound in weight for 11 euro's. So around 14 US dollar. I can fit a metric crapload of stickers in a pound:D. So it's really inexpensive.

i just ordered one sticker to check if it's the right one here too.

It would be easiest if i send a bunch of stickers over to one person in the US and that person could ship them out stateside.

I'll wait until the sticker i ordered is here and see if someone stateside steps up to make this happen.

Now what about that 2H-T???

Or a 12H, that would be cool.

It's a fascinating thread. I'm going to the Toyota dealer soon for some parts, when and if they finally arrive that is, and I ask them about the 1HZT.
