The ARB's mounting points are spaced similarly to the frame of the T so it shouldn't be too difficult to fab up the mounts.

I had a squeaky rear suspension and rear spring bushings sitting in their packages so I decided to tackle that. PN#90385-18016 x4 bushing, 90385-18017 x4 bushing, 90825-18018 x4 bushing. The factory bushings needed replacement after 213K miles. keep an eye on the brake lines when lowering the axle. you don't want to stretch it.
Squeak is gone.

The FSM also calls for a press for bearing install but it wasn't necessary.

I picked up a set of used 255/85r16's for a trailer so I slapped them on just for the sake of expirementation.

They've got about 40% tread and rubbed a little bit on the front flaps when turning. I removed the flaps and they didn't rub at all. no offroad tests to see how much flex until they rub.

I applied some bedside decals from tiptopsigns this evening:

I am looking forward to seeing how the ARB goes on. It will change the look completely.

Teaser Pic. Looks better in person. Everything is fitted and spot welded in place. Still have to trim and work on mounting points.

More pics!!!!!! Including clearance and modifications that had to be made to the bumper or the truck. Looks good!

Very cool. How much modification did you have to do?

Looking good.

It took major surgery on the bumper. I ended up cutting it into five parts and trimming all of them. The flimsy frame ends were cut off the truck and im going to weld on some brackets to strengthen the bumper. Ill be able to get it back to stock easily if I have to.

Ill post up all the details when im finished.

the bumper needs 3" trimmed to line up with the fender.

Wow, that is pretty major surgery. are you going to do any more trimming on the wings for angle or just trim the ends for the wheelwells?

On of these days we need to have a beer when I am up in K-town.

I'm going to keep the line of the wheel wells. Should be pretty easy.

Im in cookeville but make my way out that way pretty regularly. Always nice to meet a fellow mudder.

Way to pave the way! Gonna look sweet and it's sure to bring T100 owner envy. :D

I put an ARB for a 98-02 100 series Land Cruiser on mine a couple of weeks ago. I had to cut the two little double can crush things off the front of the frame and I added an "L" shaped 2" square tubing bracket in their place to recreate the front frame horns of a 100 series. The piece was about 4" tall and 4" long from the front frame cross member, mounted flat with the bottom of the frame. This let me run the front through bolts like the original mounting was intended. The bolt holes on the 100 are different where the bumper mounts to the front tow hooks. I thought they may be the same, as the frames are nearly the same width, but the spacing is both narrower side to side on the tow hook holes and the tow hooks themselves are bigger on a 100 series, so the holes are wider spaced. I opened up the rear holes towards the engine on both sides and drilled a new hole inbetween the existing holes.

Overall the fit was pretty good, I ran the bumper about as far forward and down as I could in the mounting holes adjustment range. The wings protrude into the wheel wells about and inch or more, but the front tires don't travel that way under compression, so I did not trim it at all. Also the bumper is just a tad wide overall, but with bushwacker flares on the wheel wells it sticks out to each side about 3/4" or so.

It looks good, but it did add some weight to the front, and seemed to offset the balance of the truck slightly, as in rear traction seemed a tiny bit decreased. I may add a little ballast to the rear tire carrier cross member to offset it.

Not sure where I got Knoxville from but I am in Cookeville/ Putnam Co. On a relatively regular basis. Was up there last night as a matter of fact. Anyway, will have to try and catch you next time I am up that way.

I would have liked to find one of those arbs but they don't seem to become available used very often at all. Heres a guy that put one on his. Is it different than yours?

Hey was just looking back thru your thread and was curious where your scouting trip in December was? Kind of looked like Cummins Falls or Burgess Falls area.
