Enhanced.
After the first test, I needed to cut another 1/2" off the plastic, I like how easy everything comes apart.

This is a great solution, looks very nice and certainly increases clearance which is desperately needed, what is the weight on this setup? Using all the aluminum should be some nice weight savings but I read where you mentioned there was a 1" thick chunk of aluminum under there, that is some beef!! :)

Currently it is 48Lbs, it has pockets cut out of the 1" thick parts.

To add winch mounting, it would probably add at most 10lbs.

Crash bar is 22lbs
Other things removed is probably 10-20lbs

I don't notice any additional weight.
I also painted some of the bumper parts black.

It really looks incredible, great job!

I like the black wings with the Al center skid

What do you think about this? Is it the first ever?

This little protrusion is a bad idea.

It also shows how much better the 200 series geometry is compared to the taco's\4runners.

Yet so many 200 series owners putting those crappy Tacoma style grill with “raptor lights” on their trucks 🫠🤣

After this weekends desert trip taking some woops the size of Moon craters I found a bunch of love marks on my front bumper. I’m thinking this setup would solve that issue easily :)

The approach angle is definitely better. I'm not sure if I'll make more of the bumper or not, we will see.

I'm making another run of 25 sets of skids, they will most likely be ready around June.

Do you all remove your plates when taking your 200 in for a service that requires to get under there?

I’m taking to a very respectable shop and they said no need, they take plates off all the time. They haven’t seen an EE in my area though.

Im tempted to do it myself self for piece of mind. But my current drive way setup has me very lazy and them taking on and off sounds very relaxing.

I do, since I don’t trust the tech to lube and torque each screw. Takes 15 minutes to take them off and 30 to put them back on. Also gives me a chance to inspect and grease joints as needed.

That was my thinking too. Alright I’ll do it.

What service are they going to perform?
Transmission, diff drain, transfer case drain and fills, coolant, and brake fluid change. Lubricate shaft.

Figured the transmission and front differential would at least require the plates to be removed.

Normally I do most of the services myself but my driveway and job changed which made it more difficult to have time and to get under. Had these plates for 2 years now!

My mechanic remarked at how many fasteners the E&e kit uses first time I brought it to him for a trans fluid change. He stripped a few heads but luckily had extras in stock and replaced them at no charge. I don’t fault him, it was after a particularly muddy trip and a few of the Screw heads were gunked up pretty good.

Great to hear!! Been eyeing your really elegant & well-executed design. Your website is saying “Out of Stock” so wondering if you are taking pre-orders, or just going to update site once they are in? Any way to get “on the list” as it were? Happy to put down $$ to confirm commitment. Look forward to this batch being completed.

I warned my mechanic on how many screws as well. They were just happy it wasn’t steel plates and dealing with the weight. Ha. But the screws are super soft and that’s a big part of my concern. The main mechanic is a 25 year Lexus master tech who now owns his own shop that does custom builds for off-roading, but still, you just never know who will work on it and how much time they’ll take to get it all to fit together, torque, etc.
