Transmission, diff drain, transfer case drain and fills, coolant, and brake fluid change. Lubricate shaft.

Figured the transmission and front differential would at least require the plates to be removed.

Normally I do most of the services myself but my driveway and job changed which made it more difficult to have time and to get under. Had these plates for 2 years now!
Yeah, makes sense to take all the plates off. You can leave the sub frame on, which will make it easier to reinstall the plates, once you get it back.

Great to hear!! Been eyeing your really elegant & well-executed design. Your website is saying “Out of Stock” so wondering if you are taking pre-orders, or just going to update site once they are in? Any way to get “on the list” as it were? Happy to put down $$ to confirm commitment. Look forward to this batch being completed.
Yeah, once I have everything ready I'll make an announcement on here and send an email out.

I appreciate the offer to put a deposit down, but that isn't needed.

Are the new sets you’re making pre-sold or is it first come, first serve once you make the announcement?

Also, do you have an option for louvers/cut outs for heat extraction or is that not really an issue? Maybe there’s enough spacing or the aluminum dissipates well enough? Heavy traffic in Houston in summer can get a bit excessive.

They are first come, I think there are only a hand full of people asking for them. So everyone that asked about them should be able to get them.

The power steering cooler has vents along with the cat guards. No issues crawling around in 110+ degree summer weather in Nevada.
I was actually coming back up a trail from the Colorado River in 120° heat a couple years ago, temp gauge was still right in the middle.

Excited to hear that you have another run on the way. I have been super happy with your front and rear recovery hooks. Awesome craftsmanship.

Has there been any update to the fitment of the power steering guard with the stock bumper? I would probably opt to run the skids without that component rather than cut or bend the bumper but curious if any developments on that front.

I have a ‘19 LC like yours and instead of modifying the truck I used my jigsaw and notched out a few inches of each side of the PS grille so it fits in between the oem bumper cover bolts. I shot it with some black rustoleum and it blends in to the bumper really well, you don’t even notice it.

This is probably beyond my mechanical abilities (not proud of that fact lol) but I like this as a solution.

It's really not difficult. This is aluminum sheet and they'd be straight cuts.. pretty easy job for a hacksaw if you don't have the power tools.

The PSCG is staying the same, but if someone gives me dimensions, I can make the cuts for you.

I stripped a couple bolts when removing the skid plates. And I’d like to have a few handy anyways.

Does this look right? My hardware store is pretty terrible even for basic stuff.

The part numbers he uses on the instructions correspond to the part numbers on belmetrics website. You can buy them straight from there.

What is belmetrics? I was trying to get something faster if possible.
The ones from mcmaster are the same spec, just double the cost.

Belmetric has always been fast for me.

Did you use the extra screws I include in the kit?

Any thought to changing from Hex M6x1.0 to Torx? I think an M6x1.0 has a T30 sized head, which is reasonably beefy. From experience stripping hex heads on finicky bike parts (both Ti & Stainless), I know Torx seems to hold up much better. Looking forward to the next production run!

I am hesitant to make that change. Torx are great but a few issues come to mind:
  • Harder to clean out any debris that got jammed up in the socket
  • Harder to extract if lobes are damaged
  • Easier to over torque
Here is the correct Torx version from bel metric if anyone wants to switch

The extras are buried somewhere deep in the garage. A project that keeps getting pushed back unfortunately.

I was able to get all on. Wasn’t as worn as I had though. So now I can use belmetric.
