HIJACK

1. My wife destroyed the driveline, I would have passed on that ledge.
2. You think my truck is overbuilt?:hhmm:

UN HIJACK

Stay with 35s it will be perfect.

instead you passed a kidney stone. or at least your face looked like it. :flipoff2:

yes your truck is overbuilt and I will forever be playing catch up till someone tells me mine is overbuilt. then i will be happy.

35's says the guy with 37's and a boat motor in his truck

When you going to come over and wrench?

More Hijack-I don't remember why it failed on Spike. Was there a ledge right there? i remember thinking it was the 500 HP into a Land Cruiser CV driveline built for 120 HP.

Anyway, lots of carnage that day, including the guy in the blue 40 who broke those heim joints in his rear suspension. I destroyed an MTR that day as well, and Christo had a hole in his radiator.

yes there was a ledge. so ledge, throttle, slippage, more throttle, = grenaded CV. then Matt = :frown: But hey the 8-ball award paid for your gas money! :D

I should have stayed home today and wrenched. I also need to spend less time here dreaming of bigger tires.

Ive never been is a place where I sat and thought..."man...37's...I would have made this." Ive been running 35's and never felt that Ive needed more. However, 37's LOOK AWESOME!
Lower gearing and lockers...well, that is a different story.
Ill see how I do on Fordice though.:steer::bounce::bounce2::steer::D

Sorry Clint HIJACK
However, 37's LOOK AWESOME!

Yes they do, and thats what I told myself at Moab when the wifey exploded the rear. "Well where done honey but hell the 37's still look damn good"

35s are for sissys. :)

Can't compare my setup with yours .. but I found 35" are ( IMOP ) the breaking point .. aren't anymore the same DD as it was ..

Don't get me wrong .. I love the 37" look on the SO 60 ( actually I love a little more the 38" TSL look but .. ) my only concern are what you expect from 'em ..

Going to be a great offroad and wheeling tire .. but maybe not the best choice for an expedition rig with 2F ..

Anycase maybe your plans include a 1FZ-FE for the near future .. :D

I will have an another tbi 350 with harness and computer sitting in the garage soon. That should move 37s just fine. :)

I bet it would but just can't bring myself to build another small black. A little too vanilla for me.

Give him another good summer or two of frustrating highway driving. He will repower at some point. Hopefully with a Toyota oil burner. :D

I am waiting till you are done with yours I really wanted that 1hz-T and am stoked it is staying in Oregon (just too bad not in my truck) I would agree on the few more years.

I like that idea however no slush box for me and I have not seen one mated to an H55f. I think my next step later this year or early next year will be 2FE build!

Tires are here. Hope to have pics up maybe saturday depending on Esh's schedule ;)

Holy Haysoos! You've been a busy beaver since I saw you last.... truck has really evolved! Nice job Clint.

Now what you really need is a good 12HT to drop in there..... PM me if you're interested - mine's going up for sale.

The goos news for you Clint .. are there is a bellhousing from Toyota that fits the 1FZ-FE and the H55F on the other side ..

It's the same that come in the 70 series down here with 1HZ and H55F from 1989 to 1990

If it's the deal you told me about then I think you'll like them even more when you wheel with them.

yeah I hear ya there. the Vortec is a nice engine for sure. plenty of time to dwell on that mod after the SOA!

just could not bring myself to do the 37's. it was against my better judgment.

Sorry no other updates. I have some parts down at the machine shop getting hot tanked. The bearings I ordered for the ARB turned out to be the wrong size and new ones are supposed to be here today. Rainy, cold, baby boy in for sugery this am blah blah blah.

Maybe saturday!!
