Not that you would want to wait for shipping from Japan, or the fact that it is slightly different, but if you are ever looking for one again?

Think those can be purchased from dealer still, but require a little cobbling in a Pig.

Pig. Can see where cable exits firewall below the arm of valve.

Either the new guy is very short, or the Pig has really elevated in stature.

Harness has been gone through and repaired.

Side note: I'm losing photos on IPhone, so routinely posting all relevant to relevant threads.

Can't wait to see that baby running. When you get it back home, is there any projects you have to do, before getting the plates on it?

Already plated, just have to have VIN inspected and maybe pay for this years tag. It's surely out of date now.

Driver seat is the only installed and secured by two bolts, so will have to address.....turn signal housing.....probably a few minor loose ends, then plan to log some miles before tearing it all back apart for body and paint.

Rejuvenate the love affair, figure out exactly what needs to be done to perpetuate existence.

I screwed up, big time.....

Last few months haven't been much for thorough thinking and in a very simple email reply, made a mistake communicating on the rear shocks.

Glenn had them right, questioned a statement I made twice even, and in haste and lack of ability to think straight, I twice confirmed the wrong thing.

So, I have rear shocks that are 3" too short. Should've been what we originally decided on, being 23.38", and I goofed.

They're gorgeous and would work perfect on a stock height rig, if anyone is interested.

Know Glenn can't stretch them but waiting to see what he may be able to offer, then they'll be available.

Chris, log some good miles before body work. Enjoy it you deserve it.:):pig:

Thanks Bob.
please please please; this is this most important...and ice cream; don't forget to get ice cream...

...a scoop of vanilla in a nice frosty guinness for the grown kids;)

I'm tellin' ya', man.

I'm thinking of a self-imposed directive, be it time or miles, that HAS to be completed before P&B, even.

Will have a lot to do, during this shakedown period, like seating, interior bits, glass, and indicators before I can fully task to a part time DD role, so will continue chipping away, while getting to know her.

After that, though, I'm going to do it right and continue the theme of it being capable of shared DD duties, since I intend to drive the wheels off of it for many years to come.

Looking good man! Im excited for you to get this thing running. Love all this pigs coming out of the wood work and getting them back into shape!

I'm stoked, I know.

Still a few known hurdles and anticipate more unknowns, too.

Had two mini boxes and ordered rebuild parts for one deemed unworthy. Second one is different, discovered as it was being reassembled, so Onur's rounding up correct bits for it.

Have been intent upon keeping the early 2F valve cover and filter housing, which is going to be challenging with the 3F carb.

The exhaust is going to be challenging, as well, less so now that Mr. Harris sold me back the 7X down pipe......but it may not exit properly and wind up being one of the most expensive exhaust flanges in history.

Throttle cable will be another challenge, but can be customized, I reckon, if the 7X doesn't work.

Still have to modify the shifters, deal with both blower motors, get the tailgate motor working along with switch for it.....

Lot to do, but hearing it fire will be invigorating and renew energy levels, I'm certain.

Why are you trying to order stock parts here? All you need is the two flanges, any exhaust shop can fab up the Y-pipes and tie it in to your existing system. Slee had these flanges in stock when I did the 3FE swap in my 40. There were no stock 3F down pipes for a FJ55, don't re-invent the wheel man :bang:
