I dug out the box of tubes from deep storage.

There were some great candidates in there:

My buddy doesn't want me putting painted parts in his blast cabinet:

I don't think he'll object too much now:

Dave

This is what I'm aiming for. This is the one I jst did for the swb45. I will go thru my stash to see if I have any that are better to start with than what you brought yesterday.

I like black wheels on every color 40 other than red 40s.
Dary gray looks great next to freeborn red and doesn't show dirt like white wheels.
Not a 40 but you get the idea...

Well, there's grey, and then there's grey.

The funny thing here Dave is, if you had a '79, which COULD have come with white spokers, nobody would question white.
What a difference a year makes.

I say, rattle can your old wheels in all three, see what strikes YOUR FANCY on the truck, then powdercoat your heart away.
I have more info on the valve cover.

It's a 78

The original color was a pewter paint on the outside with black on the inside based on what I see on the original wheels

Great pic Dave, where did you find the brochure????

I think this will do for a carb fan:

Note: this was done before Shane started making repro stickers. I don't know for sure that the decals are genuine, I just know they pre-date him.

I am also sure it is NOT NOS.

The original color is not pewter its gray ... The bumper is pewter ... You are correct about the inside being black

The photos exposure is funky ... To make it a snappier photo

Rims in a nutshell: (for USA :) )
E-60 body color
61-67 black rims
68-72/73 gray rims
72/73 - 7/80 gray outside only
8/80-84 white wagon wheels

Thank you for the clarification Johnny. These are the original rims. They have never been painted that's why I thought it was a pewter color.
