Cullowhee...........the plan

Couple things everyone needs or might want to bring. We use the small hand held 2way radios. If you have them bring them. Most of us have 2 so if you don't have one don't sweat it.

Also E-mail me your emergency contact info. If something happens we want to be able to call someone. Also let me know if you know CPR.

Make sure you have a spare tire with air.

A working emegency brake would be nice.

Also the 4pm group will be leaving at 4pm. Don't be late! If you are or have the potential please let me know as soon as possible. We will have around 8 vehicles in the 4pm group. I'd plan on being there no later than 3:30 so I can get everybody informed.

The section of trail we are going on Friday is mostly gravel with a short section of trail that we have never been on. If for some reason it is blocked we have an alternative route planned out to get to the campsite. This is the main reason I want to leave at 4pm. If we have to go the other way it will be at least another hr of pavement and gravel to get to the campsite. I'd like to get to the campsite before dark.

Please make a copy of the map JP published. If for some reason friday you realize you might be late contact me before 1pm or leave me an voicemail 864 414-0563. I will work on getting you to our campsite but cannot guarantee anything once we leave.

Looks like a fun weekend ahead.

I would be careful about arranging meetings are rest stops...might get the wrong idea :)

As long as Rick doesn't get the wrong idea... and no one else shows up, should be OK. I will stay away from pink Lancruisers in the parking lot though!

One other thing (even though i'm not in charge) i'm bringing my dog, thatcher, a yellow lab. Just telling so if others have dogs they can be prepared. Mine is nice and is not aggresive at all and loves to play with other dogs, but if other's bring agressive dogs i will have a problem with that.

EDIT: so that came across a little aggresive. what i meant is everyone is welcome to bring their dog. I am. Just dont bring them if we are going to have to break fights up all weekend. that's all.

If you bring an aggressive dog on a wheeling trip with a bunch of strangers it is likely to end up in the rotel dip.

Aggressive enough for ya? :)

I love labs!

mmmmm....rotel!

here he is on one of the trips last year. Needed the chainsaw on this trip.

I will have my saw. You all encouraged me to pull it out and clean it off today.

Denali???? she isn't aggresive :D.......... okay maybe for the first few minutes, but then she fell in love with Thatcher last time........ he is such a stud

Sucks I can't bring my 2 (makes it harder to go on these trips) but since I don't separate them and the female is, let's say, socially challenged around other dogs, it just ain't gonna happen.

Jade and Denali would be like a blowtorch with TNT and that ain't no fun when you're trying to get outside and decompress. ;)

From a wheeling trip with the dawgs...

Bringing,

Satalite dish, tv and the clemson game sat night. I'll make sure it stays out of the way of the real purpose of this trip. To get away. I just want to be there when JP sees his team lose. lol

Ha, LOL. I'll have some numbing fluids for JP's sorrows. The only problem is that if he mimicks his performance at MLK Tellico, we're going to have wild turkeys running all over the bald!!! :grinpimp:

Anyone know if I can get beer in town before we head out?

I wanna be sure I can get to NC and buy beer since we can't get Yuengling down here :)

depends on which way you come in. If you come through sylva, yes. Stop at the exxon station just before the school. It's a "brew-thru" and used to (at least when i went to school at WCU) always hire super hot Delta Zeta girls. I always would pick the beer that was sitting on the floor.:grinpimp: ;)

I didn't think there was any place left on earth that you couldn't buy Yuengling?!?!

Guys, I hate to do it, but the wife has laid down the law on me. Next weekend is our little boys first birthday and my wife has a ton of things for me to do. I'll never get this done during the week, so I'm afraid I'm out on this ride once again. Sorry guys, I was really looking forward to going since I missed the last one, but I gotta take care of the family stuff for a couple of weekends.:frown:
