looks like it's a German company. Their list prices are crazy lol, but sale prices seem fair.

Like most other Mfgs, they're offshoring more and more products, so German-made is more of the exception than the rule. I think all of the sets I linked are from Taiwan.
I have a couple of chrome combo sets and 1/2" sockets sets and they're good. No flaws in the finishes.
I don't beat on anything hard enough to damage tools. Unless it's landscape or carpentry stuff.
All of the Wiha micro/precision tools I have are made in Germany.
