unlocked collectors..eastern shore, 270K looks clean! $9k

That's a beaut! 40th Anniversary, not Collector's. No roof rack, no steps. That's a rare 40th that made it to a dealer lot without those.

It's a near certainty that it was hit in the front end.

@Diff Kraken !!! I texted it to him.
Thanks for that- just cleaning up a flooded basement apartment today that we rented for my mom here so the day is kind of shot... next couple days are booked too so I'll likely miss this one. Let me know what you find out on this one.

What's the give away? The shiny grill and lights?

Missing the 40th badges on the fenders and the black pearl logo on the grill. The forward piece of the right side rub strip looks incorrect, too.

A lot of them are missing the badges on the side. They get knocked off and people don’t care or just can’t fix them since they are NLA. Good eye for the black Pearl front grille though! Would have to check VIN tags on front end components and obviously carfax. A slick top 40th is quite the find though! I’d say prices high for the miles and all the little things it needs that add up. Not to mention the potential accident history. 7ish truck? He’s not far off…

There are repop 40th fender badges, but they're flat.
AFAIK, every piece of OEM trim for the 40th and CE are NLA. The stuff is like unobtanium now.

I'm pretty sure the black chrome was an option, albeit a very popular one. This one doesn't have the rear black chrome badges either. My 40th I got with less than 100k miles with no history of accidents and both my front and rear were silver chrome.

The black pearl badges were standard on the 40th and CE. Same for the sparkly rub strips and the garnish over the license plate.

Here's the 40th brochure (the CE didn't have a dedicated brochure since it was a last minute addition)

So is it possible that just that piece of rub strip is new?

The roof's clearcoat is toast. So there's no question the front end (or at least the hood) was repainted.

Studying the pictures... the impact was on the right front. Or right side.

The left flare has scars, the right looks pristine. The gaps on the front bumper caps are uneven side to side. There's the aforementioned wonky rub strip bit on the right side. Right front mud flap isn't faded like the rest.

** I have no idea if the truck is a good buy, or not. But based on the five photos I would have questions about its history.
