Damage next to the weld has the thickness down to ~0.0625what thickness? You shouldn’t be folding up .188” or .25” wall no matter how many dents are in it.

Ignoring the rock graffiti, the tube looks pretty torque stressed in both pics IMHO. Sounds like a good choice to me.Dents on both sides of the same part of the shaft and a pinch next to the weld. That gets retubed before it folds up.
Yeah dude, get that thing made with a real tube. You’re going to be retubing it every time otherwiseDamage next to the weld has the thickness down to ~0.0625
It's actually my spare which I had thrown together so the truck was usable while i was waiting for my High Angle built shaft (which I'm still waiting for). I was pretty surprised how little material was left at the yoke.Yeah dude, get that thing made with a real tube. You’re going to be retubing it every time otherwise
Did you sit in the passenger seat? Seems like I am gonna hit my face on that.I've been messing with installing a map light for night navigation at OTC. I was about to pull the trigger on something to hard wire and then it occurred to me i have a bunch of RAM components and a red flood flashlight. Mounted it up to test it this weekend.

Its specifically for the Oregon Trophy Challenge race. About half of it occurs at night and requires a lot of map and direction reading. Last year we used regular headlamps and found the constant white light made it harder to see the course. Is having map lights for trail driving a thing? We used those during mil exercises or flights to hide our position, but trail riding? What am I missing?
Ah, makes sense! Its specifically for the Oregon Trophy Challenge race. About half of it occurs at night and requires a lot of map and direction reading. Last year we used regular headlamps and found the constant white light made it harder to see the course.
It is rad. But it doesn't have the WAL-E robot ship Capitan look.I suggest this map light.
It's rad ( also biased)![]()

Yeah, i checked it. It's ok off to the side. Being all RAM mount stuff it's easy enough to take off if it's annoying.Did you sit in the passenger seat? Seems like I am gonna hit my face on that.
You can have GPS, but the way the directions are written it's not a ton of use. I have a tablet running OnX in the dash to at least get a sense of where we are.I found the place hard to navigate in the daylighttrails heading off in every direction.
Are you allowed GPS or paper maps only ?
